:bellyroll: No need for that...

What's nice about the event is that's it basically a 2-in-1 event.
We will have advanced driving instructors there again for the day - they are there to assist you as much as you should need. Cones are put out on the track and the instructors will show you how to drive the correct racing line through each corner ext... :w00t:

Once you feel confident enough you can drive around as much as you like... :burnrubber:

Although the day is aimed at an advanced driving experience and not flat-out racing... you can still be on track as much as you like.

My wife has done this event last year in her Yaris TS... was a great learning experience for her!
And also the wear and tear on the cars is actually minimal - but that is dependent on how "crazy" you go on the day.

TTCC as a club are really trying to provide a safe, fun day out on track... while learning in the process... and without it costing an arm and a leg.

TheGooseman 05-10-2013 04:15 AM

Event flyer updated in original post...
Feel free to send it to all your friends...

There is one major difference. Car helmets are designed to be fireproof whereas bike helmets aren't. (Chances are you won't get trapped on your bike if it catches fire).
But for track days etc, just get a bike one, unless you want to compete seriously. If you want a car specific one, be prepared to pay (all fireproof kit costs!) but try

GREAT! Will be nice seeing you at the event again!

Guys, regarding the helmets... unfortunately this year we don't have helmets to lend out as we usually use the go-kart-guys helmets, but they having an event at the Z on the same day.

We will however TRY and have some helmets available for those who don't have...

I will have two of my old quad-racing helmets available...

Fish Eagle 05-22-2013 05:15 AM

We'll be in Pretoria this weekend for my daughter's 21st, and I'm hoping to get an hour or two free on Saturday to pop around and say hi. I would have loved to participate, but we won't be there for long.
Anyway, my car's probably still too new to put it on a track already.

I'm especially keen to see the RGM 86's. :w00t:

tm86 05-22-2013 05:21 AM

Damn, I have to record the Monaco GP because I can't miss out seeing these supercharged 86's.

RueFT86 05-22-2013 05:28 AM

I will also pop by but most likely won't participate.
Also have something to do that weekend.
