How much does your BRZ get photographed

Got off work, went out to the parking lot to go home and someone was taking pictures of my BRZ from like every angle.

I walked up and said hey you like that car and he said yeah, he'd never seen one before. I then popped the lock and hopped in, he was like no way, you own this!

2 funny. Life is so difficult being a celebrity.

Foobar 05-05-2013 05:08 AM

Started the day I brought her home, now I still get people admiring at it from every angle but no more pictures.

It tends to be older guys that check it out and tell me what a great looking car it is.

I guess it has a classic design.

When I first got it in Nov one of the women who works in the building was taking shots of it in the work parking lot. I still see peoples heads turn as a drive by and once a guy in a miata did a U turn just to look at it.

All the time

GTB/ZR-1 05-05-2013 05:07 PM

Hardly ever--but in my GT-R, it was almost comically constant...

SC David 05-06-2013 05:24 AM

Never. It'd be like photographing a Mini Cooper. They're everywhere! Still get comments on it all the time though.

Pen.suhl 05-07-2013 01:12 AM

Got photographed today. This was the second time that I know of. First, stopped while trying to cross a bridge. And just tonight, at a four way stop, I proceed to cross, and see the flash from a phone camera, the the driver heading the opposite way.

DeepHunta 05-07-2013 01:37 AM

probably a lot when I'm not looking.

I park my car for hours in the day so I never catch a glimpse of who is snapping pics.

I still get a lot of head turns for all and any wrx/sti owners. It's like they can't believe they are seeing one on the road.

Sad, I don't get the same looks on my Legacy :(

I've only seen my car get photographed once while I was at a stop light. It turns heads almost all the time though and makes me smile every time. I live up in New England so they are not that popular, YET.

djdnz 05-07-2013 11:14 AM

I saw some guy taking a picture of it while I was sitting at a stop light, he was in the car behind me and used his iphone to take it.

Umbie 05-07-2013 11:29 AM

On occasion that I've noticed. One kid even asked me permission before snapping a pic with his phone. I am starting to see more of the Twins on the road, but they still turn heads for sure.

I received the first BRZ in North America, so in the first weeks, mine was the only one they had probably ever seen in real life.

The funniest moment was when I was on one of the express highways. There's never any cops so I was going pretty quick when I passed a Golf GTI. A few seconds later, I see it pull out into my lane and floor it. I thought he wanted to race me, but just settled in right behind me. In my rear view mirror I saw 2 cellphones creep up; one above the steering wheel and another above the passenger dash area followed by 2 flashes! He stayed there for a good 5 minutes before dropping off again.

I still get people reacting and asking me what car it is every now and again, but not nearly as much as the first month or 2.

Happened to me before at the stealership. There were these two kids (high school age) checking out my car as if it was a display car haha.

Had a few girls on the Highway take pics. Local Subaru club owners take pics or look at it. I am always getting turned heads. They are becoming more common in Nebraska.

I saw three BRZ's and an FRS today. Manchester Subaru sold a lot of BRZ's already.

There's a dirty joke in there somewhere.:D

But I don't recall turning any heads when I'm cruising around town.

VesperLynn 05-08-2013 12:18 AM

Having a rocketbunny BRZ, it happens a lot. (Not trying to sound snide and uppidy lol)

When its from the front I always grin big and throw two thumbs up. They never notice whole taking the picture.

WillBRZ 05-08-2013 02:56 AM

I had someone just a couple days ago park half way up my driveway and start taking pictures...i wasn't sure if I was about to get robbed that night or if he just liked the car...lmfao seemed really weird considering there are much nicer exotics parked thru my neighborhood... various porsches, a couple tesla's, bentleys etc...why would he take pics of my brz...im not to sure.

What color is your car? Whenever I went into Boston everyone was staring at my WRB BRZ. This guy on Storrow Dr. passed me in the right lane, turned his head around 180 degrees and stared at my car for a solid several seconds without looking at the road, haha.

Last fall I was leaving a middle school and some kids walking took out their phones and tried to discretely take pictures, of course I saw, lol

Marcoscrdo 05-08-2013 09:00 AM

Yeah happened a lot first couple months, now its sometimes. But yeah feels so awesome! I think it will happen a lot more once i get exhaust , because being a DGM car i think people don't notice it as much unless im right in front of them. Other bright colors or noticable colors stick out more. :bonk:

infinite012 05-08-2013 09:33 AM

The Twins: it's the car for the global attention whore.

Mine is black, so I think it's more of a color thing like Marcoscrdo said. Although, there was one dude in an Audi Q5 that was parallel parking into a spot behind me that had this "OH CRAP!" look on his face when he saw me flash the lights and get into it. I'm guessing that's because he probably thought he's glad he didn't hit me while I was watching him park...haha.
