GReddy Comfort Sport GTS ver2.
 

There are only 2 being sold in the US. Someone please buy before I do or give me reasons to get it. I cannot find clear pics of the tips showing whether they are dual-walled/inside tapered like the SP Elite. Pics floating around the web do not match between different sites (for example the "GReddy" banner is more hidden along the midpipe in one site). Can anyone here who knows Japanese find more info/vids/reviews on it from Japan? I'm wondering whether they're mass-produced in Japan or, if not, why not.

I wouldn't trust that ad. It doesn't say only 2 will be, it just says they have only imported 2 atm

Might be a feeler sale with more being imported depending on how much demand this generates, if any. I've been following this since Trust revealed it last summer.

Price is so steep! Pricing is like STI sports muffler, heh.

GReddy SP Elite not satisfactory anymore?

GReddy called me today and I told them it was ok to unhold it for me... both are now sold! Thank goodness. They also confirmed it was discontinued by Trust in Japan. Also found it odd that a customer in Japan posted this on 3/7/13 with the GReddy logo mounted in a different location:

Whereas the one GReddy USA was selling looks exactly like the prototype from August of last year. And the way the tips line up looks too far up/close to the bumper and uneven compared to my SP Elite and the STI exhaust. Too many red flags for my $1600. :iono:

Damnit Andrew... I was going to say I'll take it. Worse come worse I have a bunch of poly hangers that are different sizes.

Kind of sounds like one of those riding mowers landscape people use but it could be the mic i guess.

The sound in the greddy vid site is not sexy... it doesnt come up with the sexy form it had.. why... :(

TRD Quads, here I come.

Here is mine. Claims to be the 6th in the U.S. Installed on the 26th of November. The sound in person is awesome, the videos you find of it do it absolutely no justice. I was glad it wasn't ear splittingly loud, but, I want it louder now. I'm gonna go with either motive concepts test & over pipe or @FA20Club.com test & over. Can't make my mind up.

@FLIPs_FR-S don't even think! Go for motiv quality is on a different level, + u can usually get it faster :). Consider a resonated front pipe if you are thinking of adding a header in the long run!

Ya, I've seen more pics as more owners started posting them and quality looks exceptional. Played with the idea of replacing my GReddy SP Elite with these but I can't let go of its mature look and civilized sound. How do these Comfort Sports sound? From the clips I've seen online they seem to have a rasp to them.

P.S. I've got nothing against forged wheels. In fact, I've got a set being made in Japan (don't want to disclose brand just yet) and I'm worried they might be fragile compared to my XXRs which were packed more densely (cast) with material. I just see forged as a way to make wheels strong using less material (lightweight) whereas cast is just as strong, sometimes stronger, because it uses more material.

There's no rasp from this exhaust. The video posted here are real bad quality so it's hard to engage the true sound this exhaust makes. I have a Motiv overpipe and HKS double resonated front pipe on the car iand s even smoother sounding but with a much quieter tone at highway speeds. It's a tad too quiet for my taste right now so I brought a Tanabe front pipe to replace the HKS one I have on now this week and will report back here with info on raspyness. As of now there is no rasp for my current setup.

Tanabe is a test pipe (no cat or resonator). It sounds so good now combined with the Greddy GTS V2. Not loud at all on the highway cruising. When you hit the gas pedal down in all gears the exhaust comes alive. It's beastly smooth as I can describe it.

Great to know. Motive concepts or ultimate racing over and front test pipe are in my near future. PM if you make a video of the sound please sir.
