Not a fan of blatantly pretending your wheels are the real deal.

Clipdat 05-02-2013 06:59 PM

I like the wheels but not the sticker. Even if I had the real deal I wouldn't put the sticker on. :iono:

jeebus 05-02-2013 07:10 PM

so what are the specs on the wheels? they look nice

BigRedDog 05-02-2013 09:53 PM

Your sticker is the bad pimple of your ride. Clean it up by taking it off.

mashal 05-02-2013 10:02 PM

How are those brakes working for you??

imput1234 05-02-2013 10:05 PM

The wheels looks super shitty, and nothing like the original.

Freaking ricers!

BlaineWasHere 05-02-2013 10:19 PM

What sort of 3rd world country lets drivers on a racetrack without a helmet?!!?

Faking wheels is like faking penis size. We'd respect you more if you just tell us you got a small **** but know how to use it versus telling everyone you have a huge cock but have no idea what to do with it.

BlaineWasHere 05-02-2013 10:20 PM

What if someones name is ****? I feel bad for anyone named ****.

I have an uncle **** (not joking).

Probably just a parade lap, so people can get pics, post it on forums and act like they actually drive. haha

Wes 05-02-2013 11:43 PM

I'm fine with the wheels, but not the sticker on the fake wheels. Reminds me of some dude in my neighborhood has some super cheap looking fake TE37 with rivets like a 2 piece wheel with volk sticker.. eye sore. But I guess at least yours do look better

lmao, this is good. But yeah, never understood the point of trying to pass off fake wheels as the real deal. Any enthusiast would be able to spot a fake quickly.

funcheung 05-03-2013 12:11 AM

LOLOL yeppp.....evry1 of us had a good laugh at the wheels. as long as they work, doesnt matter

funcheung 05-03-2013 12:12 AM

next we gonna take them off, and print different colours for each wheel hahahah

DuMa 05-03-2013 12:20 AM

stoptech bbk and cheaply made wheels. something is wrong here

Clint520 05-03-2013 01:54 AM

The second to last picture... I'm almost positive that's Chow Yun Fat and Sammo Hung.

Draco_PR23 05-03-2013 02:27 AM

I'm not sure about the hate to the wheels or the sticker, but some people fake to drive a Toyota GT86 and all they have is positive feedback ...

The wheels look nice and the car looks great! Enjoy the car.

one is not like the other... it isn't like the FR-S is a knock off of the 86, it's just different badging for a different market...
I think the better example is badging an 86 as a Ferrari.

my question is, are the wheels really called that? funny name if true.

and btw, they don't really look like TE37s

How heavy are the wheels and what's the manufacturing process? Cast or forged? And which type?

I can dig the humor on doing the Volks sticker on the wheel for kicks. Some people just don't get it :happy0180:

Those wheels look great!
They also look great with your color car - well done.

Rota Grid
XXR 522
work meister s1r
Tenzo R Avid1
CST Top Zero 1 Hyper
and now Fastwheels
I like the look of all of these wheels. They're all copying something. As long as they work okay and you like them. I know I can't afford super expensive wheels so I am always looking for a bargain. Thanks for the great photos.

shu5892001 05-03-2013 12:57 PM

wow so nice hate guys, the op can do w/e he want that makes him happy. He even admit it they are fake and are for track only, and he just wanted to have a good laugh with his friends. It's not like he was trying to sell them or pass them on as the real deal

TouchMyHonda 05-03-2013 01:49 PM

ugh.

I sold my set of Tenzo Avid1 for these because they have more sizes and better offsets. I wanted to get the Semi-forged competition wheels from FastWheels but it only came in 17x8 +35, i wanted to run 245/40 tires since they were cheaper and easier to find stock in Canada than 235/40.

Lame.

husker741 05-03-2013 07:09 PM

This is the same stuff that made any Civic owner get laughed at. When people rice out cars and have fake shit everywhere, it casts a bad image for the specific car. This along with the guy having his steering wheel out the wheel, and anyone that has a -eleventybillion camber, are starting to make these cars look like rice mobiles.

you are very right.....i keep saying our cars is taking over civics for the next generation of RICE. Everytime i see my car slammed, or loudass exhaust, vinly wrapped hood and trunk, huge GT wing, crazy camber, tires being stretched on crazy width tires, etc....in my mind its just, "do u even track?".....i only do suspension, swaybars, tires, brakes, and racing seats for lapping days and time attack.

funcheung 05-03-2013 07:24 PM

wheels i dont really care, as long as they bang for the buck and fit the tire size i want. i wouldnt want to track my Gramlights 57Xtreme.....they are too expensive. plus they are 18" and stagger, so getting track tires for them is expensive and cant swap the front and rear.

Staggered is worthless without a ton more power anyway.

The real versions are stronger and lighter, both major performance aspects of a wheel. So I guess if MAJOR performance aspects don't matter in wheels you've got no problem.

I got 17x9 RPF1s for $1050 shipped. 15.8 lbs. My 17x9 Rota Grids are 20.5lbs.

Obviously it's worth time, but not 5 seconds. Unsprung weight is the worst kind.
