Greddy TC and FRS in one pic (scion twitter)

In case anyone missed it, here's the FRS and the tC together (for size comparison)

https://p.twimg.com/Akgxu3yCEAENwu6.jpg:large

taken from @Greddy_Power on twitter :) anyone know what kinda rims are on the FRS?

CSSM 02-01-2012 03:59 AM

The rims are the Rays VR G12, used with a 15mm hub adapter spacer. These are the rims I want

toper 02-01-2012 04:23 AM

wow, the tc looked like a full size car compared to the frs :D

The wheel spec was 8.5+45 and 9.5+45 so without the adaptor it will fit +30 wheels??

MiguelAE86 02-01-2012 09:01 AM

god DAMN the FR-S looks UBER Small!! :eyebulge:

Snoopyalien24 02-01-2012 11:24 AM

Wow that is a good size comparison. TC is around the same size as a Civic Si no?

Next up MX-5 or S2000

dabocx 02-01-2012 11:26 AM

Wow thats going to be tiny compared to my 4 door Si.

Theres a few TCs that park near me at work and we are similar in size.

merlin2111 02-01-2012 11:28 AM

haha I love this car. Now here is to hoping that I am going to fit.

Ryephile 02-01-2012 11:36 AM

I love how low and shrink-wrapped the FR-S looks.

chate 02-01-2012 01:46 PM

i've been waiting for comparison shots, anyone have any more??

DieDriving 02-01-2012 04:22 PM

We all know the TC is small (by today standard)....it seems no more....

Sasquachulator 02-01-2012 04:29 PM

damn thats small....

7thgear 02-01-2012 04:32 PM

i'm simply loving the fact of how small this car is!

no_name 02-01-2012 04:37 PM

i think an AE86 is similar to the FRS, but a bit taller.

Dangit, I wanna size comparison to a Focus ZX3, that'd help me visualize the FR-S size, since I'm currently driving a Focus. :)

Cool pic!

ZetaVI 02-01-2012 08:14 PM

It isn't small...........it's fun sized!

Haha! I like your 'Glass half full' philosophical view. Seriously though, it looks great compared to the tC (no disrespect to tC owners)

That AE86 is lowered a bunch though, so they are about the same

ft86Fan 02-01-2012 08:39 PM

Love the size.

I didn't know lowering a car decreases it's size?!

 I was meaning in that one dimension

iLuveKetchup 02-01-2012 08:48 PM

Wow! The FR-S/BRZ is bigger than I thought.

Sasquachulator 02-01-2012 09:24 PM

I dont think that AE86 is along the same line as the FRS....

Unless the FRS is really THAT much wider than the AE86....

Spaceywilly 02-01-2012 09:31 PM

I put the tC wheels on the BRZ

ahausheer 02-01-2012 10:42 PM

Agreed, this would be nice on the front page.

dookie11 02-01-2012 10:44 PM

Can someone make a pic of the frs/brz vs. the 1st gen TC? Or is it roughly the same size as the 2nd gen?

Cool thx. Good to know that the hoodline is lower than the TC. I've driven my cousin's 1st gen TC and it doesn't compare with my Prelude's low hood. Love the maximum visibility of the ground in front of me.

quik1987 02-05-2012 04:22 AM

Why isn't this on the front page yet?

chate 02-17-2012 10:40 PM

Someone else just added it to the GTR comparo thread, and it made first page WTF, i'm hurt...

[QUOTE=Spaceywilly;125177]I put the tC wheels on the BRZ
Can anyone name the wheels on TC?

SLeRoux92 02-19-2012 10:31 PM

the new gen tc actually looks pretty nice, especially compared to the old one which I didn't much care for. now that scion has the frs, the first REAL sporty scion, they just need to get that tc to a RWD configuration and scion may finally be taken seriously (been seeing a lot of FRS hate lately, or I'd say that would get scion the respect)

I'm still pissed it's badged as a scion though, lol. Not to hate or anything, but the 86 was a toyota, not a scion so I'll definitely be re-badging.

Out of curiosity, besides taking our pocket knives and stealing others' badges middle school style (teehee), where can we buy legit/cheap Toyota badges?

Import legit ones from 86s around the world. Or do a swap, since there are people who want to convert to scion because their country doesnt have them.

Well, I've been lurking around the genesis coupe community for a while now and they have a retarded amount of available badge swaps (most of the suck IMO), but the point is no one is proud of a hyundai when it comes to their ego and the same may go for scion,

The genesis has wing badges of all different finishes and colors, random performance company badges, etc etc. I would assume that SOME company will be able to sell imported toyota badges for a similar price to the hyundai ones, ~$50 per or `$95 both or so, or if the scion badge is the same dimensions as the toyota one, you could just get them straight from the dealership's parts department and buy the toyota badges.

I'll likely be taking off the frs logo and such and just keeping the two main badges (front and rear) but swapping them from scion to toyota. Don't get me ranting about them badging this as a scion, talk about spitting on the ae86's heritage lol. I do get that it is their first sports car in a while however, and scion is their "sports car" branch now. Scion supra here we come.

and here's one of the site that sells the different genesis badges, wheel caps, steering wheel logos, etc for reference as to what I'm talking about
