The DIY thread says pull up hand brake (to highest position) and use 6th gear to reduce movement on the pulley. Also use a long lever.

Yup, i've been scrutinizing the 2 DIY's for ages already :thumbup:
Actually got my friend to come over and we both had to pull on that bar at the same time before it got loose.
