What are these "premium" and limited editions?

There are 3 versions of the car: Toyota GT86 , Subaru BRZ , Scion FR-S (. Let me break it down for you, since reading comprehension seems to be an issue here. The Toyota GT86 (sold in 4 grades in Japan) is unavailable in North America. Instead, it is sold here as the Scion FR-S. Still following? Scion vehicles don't come in trims, rather they come in one base spec that you are free to option out to your hearts content, from what I understand anyway. What's probably confusing you is the fact the BRZ will be sold by Subaru in two trims: Premium and Limited. Just the Subaru. Not the Scion. K? You can actually go to the BRZ sub-forum and even see the brochure describing the differences between the BRZ Premium and Limited!

It comes in a Premium (lower) and Limited (higher) trim. The FR-S is rumored to be just the base trim of the GT-86 and will have an optional navigation/infotainment system.

Gt86 is Definitely available in North America considering I already have the green flag to have it imported.

You probably get most features as dealer installed accessories.

Bespoke infotainment system might be standard now. (I always said it would be) Some Scion reps at some auto shows have said it was going to be standard. So we still don't officially know until scion finalized the specs hopefully within the next 30 days.

Excuse your semantics. It's is not "offered" in the North American market through the Scion dealer network.

Badges and trim levels, as far as we know. You're the one who turned this into an argument of semantics.

It's Scion. As pointed out so kindly by Dark, they are monospec vehicles: no trim levels to speak of.

Everything the OP wanted to know is widely known at this point, though some is conjecture. Widely known conjecture, :bellyroll:.

If you're saying the difference between GT86 and 86 is the badge, so you didn't have to mention 86, you didn't have to mention FR-S either because the differences are badge and trim. Not to mention that you said GT86 is sold in Japan, but it's obviously not. Make sense to you?
They are sold in different markets with different names. If You didn't include 86, why bother including FR-S?
