10 series FR-S or BRZ?
 

If you had to pick between a 10 series FR-S or a BRZ. What would you get?

Which dealer is allowing you to do a direct trade? lol

The series 10 will probably keep its value more, and you get a glow in the dark shift knob.

Series 10 is a 2013 MY. The 2014 MY manufacturing isn't starting until Aug.

why don't you just use the money for mods?

The 10 series doesn't really appeal to me much but like @campy said it will hold its value better. I'd rather have a brz though :iono:

The Series 10 is just like any other Scion it won't keep it's value vs any other FR-S. Scion is making 2,500 of them and unlike the release series Scion's they won't be giving them a numbered badge.

The bottom line is which car do you want the Series 10 or the BRZ as your the one who has to be happy with it.

I was under the impression it was a MY 2014. Most media I have read stated 2014.

I have concerns about the glowing effects and the exterior color myself. The 10 series is being considered solely because of its perceived value. IE the equipment usually reserved for the BRZ, plus the exclusivity of the car. Otherwise it would be an easy pick, the BRZ.

I thought it was 2,500 10 series cars, not 10 series FR-S's.

Between the 5 cars that would mean 500 FR-S's, probably 250 Manual 250 Auto.

So I would say that it would be a relatively rare car, and thanks to the things that it has that the regular FR-S doesn't have, I'm sure it will increase the value.

2013 brz. Find a good deal on one because they are out there.

It's 10,000 10 series cars, of which 2,500 are the FR-S. Still very rare considering how fast these cars are selling.

No I said Scion is making 2,500 series 10 FR-S's there's a total of 10K cars being made for the 10th anniversary.

I don't think you will ever win my friend. You are going to see another limited edition with different color and goodies.

I doubt that it's glow-in-the-dark. Look, there's a switch for the light. Also, the badge is numbered.

OH there's an actual solar panel in it! In the marketing info they said "solar luminescent gear knob" or something and it just sounded like fancy marketer-speak for "cheap green glow in the dark paint"

As much as I love Subaru, I can't pass up a special edition anything. Go for the Scion Series10.

I don't like the silver color of the Scion 10 FRS. Would rather just get a BRZ if I didn't want my FR-S, but I'm just as happy with a "regular" FR-S. ...As long as its in red. :)

The Scion tC Series 10 will be sold as a MY 2014, hence the confusion.

Per the press release, the Series 10 for all Scion models is supposed to go on sale in June. Why isn't there any information about pricing yet? That's just one month away...

Like the styling of Scion a bit better than the Subaru! Go for it Man!

Idk the release series has a bunch of random things going on... BRZ is better.

This might be just me, and it's not to say anything bad about the other car, because everyone knows how much I love these twins. But for me.

The only reason I would buy any type of FRS or 86 variant, convertible included is because I couldn't afford or get my hands on a BRZ.

This is totally not a bias statement from me .... hahaha because I would totally rock a 10 series. I love the Silver. But for me if I ever see a BRZ I would tell myself....I wish I have that. That's just how I see it.

And I don't understand why op added the year.

Local dealer seems to think the 10's are MY 14's, August delivery, and they are being allocated based on previous sales. No pricing on them yet. Anything from a dealer needs a serious grain of salt tho.

Who is your dealer, basically the dealer has really no say in what they get. All dealers work on allocation so the best dealer in the area will probably get first dibs at a scion series 10. I would go who with ever has the most buying power since its pure pricing.

I always guess its was Fitzgerald in Gaithersburg, thats who I bought my car from Could be wrong though.

Scion/USA said they wouldn't have a numbered badge only the glowing 10 Series emblem.

Call and tell them they are giving out the wrong info.....;)
