Ugly Rear Spoiler - Spoiler Delete?
 

I hope there is an option for spoiler delete. The BRZ spoiler looks like those found in a Pontiac Grand Am.

If there isn't just do what the STI guys do. Swap trunks with all premium people that want the spoiler, and make a few bucks at the same time. Seems like a win-win, everybody gets what they want. Problem solved :)

I see so many people begging for a spoiler delete. You are getting it for free with the package. Letting Subaru keep it for free sounds silly to me. Just swap at a meet.

I actually want that spoiler, and I'm not able to afford a Limited so hey give it this way! lol and I got a feeling that there is a spoiler delete or the option to choose not to have it. it's just a hunch maybe maybe not.

Personally I don't think the spoiler is that offensive. Not as bad as those two foot tall ones, or those aluminum ones you see on the 90's era civics. :rolleyes:

Lol yeah I love it, I'll be keeping mine! I mean, you see what's available to the scion guys right? I think that spoiler is taller than the roof! :lol: Now that's a reason to complain.

just take off the spoiler and fit a TRD duckbill...

If i go premium i'll gladly swap trunks with someone for the spoiler. I actually like it!

I don't like the BRZ spoiler but, ironically, I have a huge ugly spoiler on my s2k... lol Granted I don't drive it on the street.

im also willing to trade trunks with someone for the spoiler since it wont come with the frs and i dont wanna pay dealer price. ill be getting mine around july/august (my 20th birthday) so be on the lookout

Your last sentence said it all. You have it on a track car to serve a purpose. Not because you think it makes your car go faster or keep the rear end planted while driving 35mph between the stop lights.

I actually like the spoiler and that is why I am getting the Dark Grey Metallic Limited. :)

I'm not making any judgements on the spoiler until I actually see it in person from different angles...with my OWN eyes.

I have an Evo VIII and it has a huge factory spoiler that gets made fun of. But if you stand at the rear of the car from a proper distance the endplates of the spoiler actually disappear into the car's C pillars. So it doesn't look completely ridiculous and aftermarket.

This small "lip" spoiler (in comparison to the Evo spoiler) is just fine by my style. Looks nice and subdued. Just for looks anyway.

In person, the spoiler looks a little too rigid. From the top, the angles are very harsh, look somewhat awkward. I still like it though.

The more I see the BRZ's Limited-trim spoiler, the less I like it. I'm kind of surprised the Limited spoiler actually improves the Cd. The Pontiac Grand Am picture mirrors my sentiments. The TRD duckbill and Gazoo Nur wing look much more balanced and/or functional.

I like spoilers usually, but the spoiler they chose looks really ugly. I'm digging the TRD spoiler, but I wouldn't mind a park bench wing like the s2000 Cr got. I'm sure they'll release a special version with one down the road.

Any of you guys notice that there are pics of the FRS with the same wing seen on the BRZ limited? So I guess they'll have the same exact wing on both cars?

FRS or 86? because I don't remember seeing Any FRS with a spoiler. Hmm time for me to search...

Oh yeah, sorry. I meant the FT86/86. I've seen pics of it with the same exact wing that I've seen on the BRZ limited.

I'm being very wishy washy lately... Going back and forth...but when I went to make my deposit, I did see a different model Subaru in dark grey, and it had a fair amount of light "sparkles" in it, so I'm just not sure how that will look on the BRZ, versus the silver, which others seemed to label as dull or bland, so I will need to see them with my own eyes to make the call....but you still take some great pics please...

And the more I look at that car, the more I want the front bumper/nose & the exterior carbon fiber bits. The front splitter & canards, the side skirts & the rear diffuser. Would be a nice body kit! Come on GReddy, get those parts to market for the general public!
