Finally someone puting pictures of the Kojin on a FRS online. Thanks! Needs a drop now but otherwise looking good. Would very much be interessted in better pictures, specially with better light showing off the wheels a bit better

D18 04-26-2013 05:12 AM

Thanks for finally posting pics of these wheels! I'm thinking of going with the exact same setup. Do you notice any handling difference with the staggered setup though, has there been much of a hit to your acceleration?

SkAsphalt 04-26-2013 09:47 AM

These are the rims I am looking at getting, thanks for the pictures! We certainly need some better pictures that show off the rim itself. It is very hard to see in these shots.

Still very appreciated tho!

Also good university ;)

miodculae 04-26-2013 11:30 AM

I would love to see these rims out in the wild but these pics are so poor and worse still the rims are black.

SkAsphalt 04-26-2013 12:50 PM

the iPhone can take amazing photography, especially in sunlight, just need to know what to do or which app to do post in (hint, Camera+ is a good start)

diddy 04-26-2013 03:52 PM

I'll use my standalone point and shoot camera and take some better pics. Just wanted to get some quick shots out to you guys.

Handling-wise, definitely more grip which I don't mind. It might be a bit slower but nothing too noticeable, car still feels nimble as before.

normancw 04-26-2013 08:04 PM

They look great, especially on a silver car. How's the ride compared to stock?

diddy 04-27-2013 04:45 PM

Don't feel that much difference, might be a bit bumpier because of the larger rim. Bit more tire noise though.

GuerillaRacing 04-29-2013 01:21 PM

Thanks for the pics!!

Wow, those really look good. Surprisingly good!

Rich1 05-01-2013 09:42 PM

I'm also looking at the matte black Kojins for my Firestorm FRS. What do you think? Seems like the black rims are a bit too much for Firestorm?

Thanks for the PS.

I'm trying to toss up between the Silver and the Black for this wheel on a firestorm.

The Black looks mean, but I reckon the Silver with red lugs would really compliment the 86 logo on the side of the car.

Clipdat 07-12-2013 02:34 AM

Silver with red lugs, DOO EEET!

tennisfreak 07-29-2013 02:13 PM

Did you have to purchase the center caps separately?

I was thinking of getting these in black for my whiteout fr-s. Any opinions on what color lugs would look good?

Jrizk13 03-12-2014 04:03 PM

Hey what size spacers did you use to get these suckers to fit?

Hey Guys,

Just got this set up couple days back. I will try and snap some more pics over the weekend and yes I'm on stock suspension at the moment. Let me know if there are any particular angles you guys want to see.

Got the Wheels from Chris @ Touge Tuning in Mississauga

Nice, this is what I was going to do originally but ended up going square 17x9 Kojins.

How do you like the handling? Love the concavity of the rear spokes.

gramicci101 04-10-2014 07:28 PM

That looks really good. What are the fenders?

t.chk 04-10-2014 07:46 PM

So...any rubbing especially on lock up front? Thanks

Thanks man, fell in love with these the first time I saw them. they are INGS+1. Hurt the wallet but definitely worth it!

Ooo that's definitely a good set up as well, would love to see that.

Handles like a dream!!! Car's Super Charged, felt great getting those Prius Tires off and making the most of the added power:burnrubber:

boucher 04-11-2014 11:50 AM

What are the offsets?

ericmpena 04-11-2014 12:00 PM

Looks great! I just got a staggered setup put on 2 days ago. I love the way the concave looks in the rear!

I like! just curious, how would you feel if you had put the 9.5's up front? i see touge only sells one offset for each on their site. Thanks in advance! also, directly head on, front/rear of either side of the car would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Clipdat 04-11-2014 11:29 PM

He probably wouldn't have been able to do 9.5" in front on stock suspension.

ilpad 04-11-2014 11:43 PM

Car looks great man. Cant wait til u get your stance dialed in. Even at stock height it still looks great.

Great choices being made. Ill be sure to keep an eye out for ur future updates.

Im on sportline springs with 18x9.5 e38 255/35 square and they fit just fine :)

Clipdat 04-12-2014 12:11 AM

Exactly, you are on springs. That's why i said "stock suspension". Also you are +38 and these are +45, so yeah.

Thanks!

Having 9.5 at the front definitely would have looked pretty damn good, but I didn't want to put 255s at the front, and also wouldn't want that wide a wheel on 225s. Looks-wise though, hands down it would have been better.

I've uploaded some more pics, didn't get to detail the car this weekend like I wanted so I haven't got all the angles down yet. I'll update hopefully this weekend again.

Also, if you want to order those wheels from Touge, just call or email the shop, Chris will likely be the one to answer, and he'll help you out.

the springs make the fitment worse than the stock ones do? They use the same strut but lower the fender closer to the tire, creating less fit.

9.5" e 38 is almost identical to the distance to the perch of 9" e 45.

Clipdat 04-15-2014 05:28 PM

Fair enough, my mistake.

DarrenDriven 05-08-2014 06:37 PM

Merged @harkbrz's topic = same wheels w/ same specs

jruss 01-22-2015 02:18 PM

Hey guys, I have the same wheels and planning to put them to eibach sportline lowering springs. If I get suitable tires, will these go on with no issues? No spacers etc... Just need some clarity

Thanks

Hey I was wondering what size tires you have on. I just bought the kojins but I dont want to buy tires that will rub against the inner wall.
