The Official Cincinnati/NKY/Dayton area thread.
ROLL CALL!
My name is Bob (big surprise). Currently driving a far from stock Audi A4 1.8TQM, Cant wait to get into a FR-Z, if I fit... I'm pretty tall. Live in the Loveland area. :happy0180: |

Hi Bob,
I never look in this forum, so I missed your thread. My name's Brett (big surprise!). I have an Asphalt manual transmission on order as part of the First 86 program. I also haven't decided on the BRZ or the FRS yet, so luckily I can duck out of the First 86 at any time and get my deposit back. I have a feeling I will make the decision once pricing comes out, and it will probably be the Scion. I've been dealing with Gregory Marshall at King's Scion since I initially placed a deposit back in December. He's the first new car dealer that I haven't wanted to strangle (so far, knock on wood :bonk: ). I live in the Mason area and I ride my bike out of Loveland all the time. I mostly ride on the roads, so I'm one of those guys holding up traffic going North out of Loveland :). |
hello from another lovelander. been lurking the forums for awhile but since you made this thread, i decided it's time to come out of silence for some camaraderie. i will be moving out of loveland closer to downtown in the next few months though.
anyhow i currently drive a '11 wrx, looking to trade for the brz. but since my wife and i are in the process of purchasing a house, it may be difficult to convince her that the need for more money is worth it...but i must have this car. can't wait to test drive it. |
Hey guys, so far the tri-state group is very localized!
Brett, I too ride, but I stick to the trails personally. Also ride urban freeride whenever I can. Hiko, are you on Cincinnatisubarus.com? I'm an honorary subie guy, and they are a very active group of folks, you should check it out! |
Cincinnnati, West side. Black s14 or red and black 06 GSXR 750 when its warm. 91 Corolla in shit weather.

nah, i'm not on there. i'm gonna have to check it out. you guys hang out on a regular basis? |
I live in Erlanger/Florence area in NKY and work in Walnut Hills. Not as much of a car enthusiast as most others on here, but it's time for the '92 Celica to go soon. I figure the FR-S/BRZ could be a nice next car! Nice to see some others from the area interested.

Hey guys,
I live in Florence, work in Erlanger (at Toyota). I have the first white or grey FR-S that comes to Dry Ridge Toyota on order. I'm a big time car enthusiast. I've mostly had BMWs: '98 Z3 2.8, '95 325is, '06 Z4 3.0si Coupe, '87 SpecE30 race car. But I've also branched out a bit: '04 RX-8, '88 Fiero GT (childhood dream come true). I was saving for an E90 M3 (current V8 4-dr model), but ran across the Fiero last year and couldn't pass on it (16,000 original miles!). So I had to drop my price point by about $10k for a car this year. I also have a Fiat 500 Abarth on order, but I will drop that order for the FR-S. I road race competitively (http://AnthonyMagagnoliRacing.com) and have a side business that do private driver coaching, vehicle setup, and race support through (www.DriveFasterNow.com). Through that, I have also become the Test Driver and Vehicle Performance Advisor for Falcon Motorsports and their F7 supercar that was just unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show (www.FalconF7.com). While that car weighs only 100 lbs more than an FR-S, but with over 3x the power, I don't think horsepower is a requisite for fun. I loved my RX-8 in a way that I expect the FR-S to fulfill. See you guys around. |
Well... I just put a deposit on an ultramarine manual FR-S! Looks like I'm next in line behind you, Brett. :happyanim:

Also Anthony, I work right down the road from you, at Ancra International LLC, it's up Mineola on the right as you go up the hill to the airport.
I know a few guys that work at Toyota, do you know Brendan Osborne? |
Quote:
No, I don't know Brendan. I might know his car if it's anything unique. |
This is Chris and I work at Wagner Subaru in Dayton.
I have a few allocations avail. and posted in the Allocation thread about them. I should have a car to be seen and driven one of these up-comng Friday's. If anyone needs anything at all let me know. Chris Quote:
Do you or anyone you know want a race-prepped Mini Cooper S? Here's my ad. I actually have two Mini's for sale at the moment....both nicely modded. Black 04' with 9600 miles http://www.northamericanmotoring.com...e-black&cat=12 2002 S with 76k miles http://www.northamericanmotoring.com...ew-mods&cat=12 |

You might consider also advertising the car on bmwccaclubracing.com, in roundel, on NASA's site, SCCA, and racingjunk.com. Who did the cage? It's too bad it's not a B-Spec Cooper. That series has the potential to take off and I have an eye on that class for next year. Good luck! |
Thanks...
I had it on racing junk a few weeks and haven't tried any other sites or publications. I have an interested party but he hasn't fully committed. |
BTW I have my car now if anyone wants to see it.
Brett |
Awesome!
Congrats and I hope it's everything you expected! Here's an update. I have a prem. 6 speed in Silver avail. next week for Immediate delivery. We'd just like to have it around a couple of days on the showroom floor so a few people can see it. |
Chris,
I'm waiting on my own order to come in, but I'm wondering if you can share any news or input on when your silver one will come in. That will help me estimate my own ETA. You said that you'll have one next week.. so you're thinking the 29th.. which is probably your official ETA from your inventory report? We've heard that the first round of BRZ's for the midwest are in Chicago.. have been unloaded from the train, and are waiting for distribution. Some in Chicago have already been delivered. So a few of us from IN, MI, OH, WI have been trying to track down the cars and figure out when we're going to see them. Do you have any intel you could share? Do they often sit for a full week or longer waiting to collate with other models before loading on a truck and shipping out to the dealership? Some people have been told that it's usually only a day or two.. which would indicate that our cars might be to the dealerships early this week already. Anything you can share? |
Hi Bob,
I just found this thread for the first time, thanks for posting it. I live and work in Cincinnati and have a Premium, MT, WR Blue BRZ ordered. I just got off the phone with my dealer. They supplied me with a VON, but could not provide any other info such as ETA or VIN. |
The car I have on the way should've been here by today....the delivery date has been pushed back a couple of times.
Other than what I can see there is all I know....and the system is only as good as the person updating it, which a lot of times isn't updated as often as it should be. I'll let you guys know as soon as it gets here, barring the admins don't change my log-in info. (my screen name may change to emmerson_biggins) |

The silver car that's avail. just got here today, along with a WRB that's pre-sold.
Exciting stuff! I should be able to sell this car now.....no date to worry about. I'm out of the office today so I can be reached at 937.258.5858 |
The silver car is cleaned up and looks great!
It's available to the first person of interest. At this time it still has only delivery miles on it....in other words, nobody has test driven it and we're reluctant to do so. I also have a car that will be here soon that can be sold upon arrival. It's a Silver Ltd. Auto |

I still have my black one, if anyone wants to see it. I'll probably be at TNL tonight, but I'm still in the breakin period, so no track runs most likely. I'm over 500, but am thinking about waiting to 1000 miles
|
Anyone have an FR-S reserved from Beechmont Toyota? I worked there for 3.5 years while I was in school and the salesmen are still shady! Orderered it back in mid April he says its on its way from port but has yet to come up with a VIN.
|
if you didn't put money down, call around. Therer should still be some floating around somewhere
|
I put 1k down already, he just contacted me today said Saturday or Sunday this weekend! I'm tired of driving my cobalt :(

Hi guys. New here, my name is Mike. I'm located in Miamisburg (south suburb of Dayton). Currently have a 2008 Miata.
I actually have a BRZ on order through Chris (Limited, manual, WR blue) Highly recommend him and the entire dealership. Straight forward, easy to work with, and a true enthusiast. Chris gave me an ETA of July 16th on my car. Hopefully I'll see you guys out at some autoX and track days at Mid Ohio once I get it broken in. |
Thanks Mike.
Car is now on track for the 13th! Not sure where the bump of three days came from. |
