Crystal Eye tailights are in!
 

Finally got my set of crystal eye tail lights in red that ive been waiting months for! I must say it was worth the wait though :happyanim:

Design and quality is top notch and everything fits perfectly, no modification required but one thing that sucked was the fact I had to use the stock wires from factory headlights rather than them supplying a set. You would think paying 500 for new tail lights they come with wires :bonk:

Other than that, I am in love with these lights and find myself itching to drive around even during the day with them on. THESE LIGHTS ARE BRIGHT and look extremely aggressive, def. one of my top favorite buys. but enough talking onto the pics!

Why are there two different part numbers on the japanparts website for the red ones? It shows the price is for a pair, so I don't think it's left and right part numbers.

don't know why but there a part number for the BRZ and an other one for the frs

Very nice! Finally received my set yesterday and installed it last night. Definitely agree on the quality, brightness, and aggressiveness. The only thing that I wish was a little better was the turn signal brightness.

Nope!! The tails @ japanparts are sold in pairs, so the pricing you see on their website reflects a pair of tail lamps, not an individual lamp

this is just plug in play on the frs no need them OHM to avoid hyper blink signal turning ?

The Crystal Eye's are nice! But I don't think you'll regret buying the Valenti's once you see them in person :thumbsup:

These are the first pictures that make the red Crystal Eye lamps look good.

Is there any special wiring involved? Or are they plug and play?

It seems like with the Valenti and COLIN tail lights, you have to swap pins or something.

Not sure about the hyper blinking with these, you'll have to check with someone that already has them installed. The Colins from japanparts suffered hyper blinking, but it's an easy fix either way. I thought the Crystal Eye's were plug & play, but according to the OP, they did require some use of stock wiring, but not entirely sure what he meant ??

Hopefully OP can clear up the wiring and plug & play questions in a little more detail. As far as the Colins and the Valenti's, they do require swapping out 2 pins for proper lighting, it's another easy fix as I have done it myself with the Colins.

ZetaPerformance is taking pre-orders right now on the Valenti's and is expecting stock within a week or two. If your concerned about proper wiring, they are swapping out these pins for customers before shipment

With these tail lights they come with resistors for each side to fix the hyper blinking. I still have it but i think it is because of my front turn signals because originally with stock tails and LED front signals I had hyper blinking. As for wiring no modification is required, all you have to do is use the stock wiring from the stock tail lights and plug them into the Crystal Eye lights and youre good to go!

the plug on the news tailights are plug and play with the wire with the bulb...then you plug the male connector from the tailight to the female on the stock wiring

they come with 2 squares resistors(you can see one in the pic)
you have a yellow wire and a black on each tailight plug it on the resistor...and it's done:happy0180:

How bright are the blinkers? From a video another member posted, they look pretty dull.

Blinkers are not as bright as stock but I think they are acceptable during the day and definitely better at night.

On a side note, I have condensation issues for my right tail light :(
Never once did I have an issue with the stock ones so it's pretty sad to see the water in there.

I usually order from japanparts also, this time I grabbed my crystal eye's off ebay to save shipping time. You'll pay less for them from japanparts, but may get charged brokerage, not sure about US, but in Canada brokerage is around $100 on my last set of tails from them. Not too mention $100 for shipping

japanparts usually ships within a few days from placing order. Send them a message on their support page
