Hi!

Last fall a co-worker and I entered a competition at Toyotas Facebook page.
The task where to build a car out of this:

After a whole weekend at the office with state of the art equipment as you can see. The end result became this:

A couple of weeks later we got a mail from Toyota, congratulated us for winning a trackday with the GT86. WINNING

They told us to go here. Trosta racing Park. Just outside Arlanda airport, Stockholm:

8pm we where on site and the first view to welcome us whas this:

After a short debrief, a history lesson about Toyotas racing heritage and some breakfast. They told us that we got 8 hours to drive these cars like we stole them.

Im kidding you not! They actually allowed us to drive with all assists of and kill the tires.
I think it was the PR-manager of Toyota Scandinavia that told us that "Autocross them, drift them. They are built for this" :thanks:

As you may understand I spent the whole day driving, so I only took like 3 pics or so. But here they are:

The lucky ones

This where my first track event ever. And after 4 hours of pure driving I where absolutely gased. This where without a doubt one of the funnies things I ever done. So a big thanks to Toyota Sweden.
I will for sure order a car this year. As soon I get rid of my Mustang.

Here you have the GT86 clothing line we got in the beginning of the day.

Do you have a high resolution digital copy of the car cut out available?

This is exactly the same.
Got to love the instructions in Japanes!

I recomend you to use a scalpel and fine glue.
Big paper scissors and a clumpsy gluestick aint ideal tools ;)

Im glad you liked it guys :)
I noticed that I got the name of the track wrong, so a small edit there.

Here´s a pic on one of the two Land Cruisers.
At the lunch break we spent 1h on off-roading with two brand new Cruisers.
Who could have known that step hills and big pools of mud could be so fun? :D

Interesting to know. I was one of the Swedish guys that got hit with a CEL after just 1800km. As compensation Toyota Sweden contacted me (and others with the same problems) and promised to give us a trackday event, including transportation and overnight stay in a Hotel during the spring.

However, so far they have not gotten back to any of us for a date. :/
