SATurday April 20th Autocross

Bowie Baysox Stadium, Bowie, MD is the location of the next autocross on SATURDAY April 20th.

Registration and tech inspection will be at 8:00 and will promptly close at 8:45 to try to accommodate the full field, while still giving 6 runs. You must be DONE by 8:45. So if you arrive at 8:00 you won't have a problem. Don't arrive at the last minute.

The event fee for the Saturday autocross is $30 for members and $40 for non-members at this event.

On-line Reservation System

Member reservations (or participants that will join the club upon showing up) for any events can be made at any time athttp://www.capitaldrivingclub.com/ under the Schedule Tab. Open reservations for non-members for this event begin Friday April 12th.

New Members

We will be accepting new members at this event. If you plan to join the club at this event, you may make a reservation at this time by doing the following:

1. Use "0" as the member number (a permanent number will be assigned to you after you join and you will get a temporary number for this event)

2. TYPE "I will be joining the club at this event" in the NOTES Section when making you reservation.

The annual membership is $30 and is good for 12 months from the date you join.

Dam...this would be 2x autocross for that weekend...Sat with CDC, and Sun with PTuning. Ill see if I can swing this one....Im already locked on for Sunday tho.

For those who dont have helmets check out cyclegear.com clearance section you shouldnt need anything extravagant.

I would get a closed face helmet to use at gokarting as well

Anyone who is new to autocross or wants some pointers on the car and would like a ride along I'm running in heat 1. I am happy to have you ride with me, or I can ride with you.

Awesome! You sure you dont want to run its a lot of fun!

I'm probably going to sit this one out because I'm not sure how long I can stay.

If anyone is interested, I'm going to bring the Sprint Booster and let anyone who wants to demo it try it out and see how it feels!

Ill be there...one of my prior MS3 friends who has a 12 5.0 now will be there too...both in heat 4.

I'll be in heat 1 and am happy to take passengers on any of my runs.

Anyone spectating, make sure you bring a folding chair. Bowie is a great place from the spectator perspective, second only to Frederick.

119 confirmed reservations on the schedule, should be an epic day to run and watch. Can't wait to see everyone there!

Not sure if I want to start running with the CDC also. Already running WDCR and AI. So many choices! Maybe a May event since I don't have any more until the end of June.

I run all three, also Mazda and Corvette clubs

I'm just impressed that the first model year of a car is representing 10% of all participants

derp. obviously I was just doing my part to convince people to not want to show up..

They are super organized, a large field wont be a problem. Especially at Bowie, that lot can accommodate staging a bunch of cars pretty easily. Weather should be great for tomorrow, sunny and 65.

We can process 126 participants at Bowie, Woodbridge and Winchester and still finish by our target of 4:30pm (we limit the field to about 70 at Frederick). We typically get about 20 no-shows, which makes the field at 100 participants - a size that is pretty easy for us.

I'm anxiously waiting for these times to be posted, because I really do not want to be the slowest out of the lot of us

Result will be up in a day or so. Normally we post that night but the organizer that does the results is out of town. I'm guessing the results will be out on Monday.

Awesome turnout I got a 42.0 something as my best, fixed my snap oversteer issue was way off with tire pressures.
