Color Comparo request
 

Hey guys...undecided on 3 colors and was looking for some specific pictures. I was hoping people had pics of the following 3 colors with some basic mods.

Hot Lava
Whiteout
Firestorm

Any pics with black badges, tint, and some basic wheels?

I know I can search for these pics but I was hoping to just compile these here. I also haven't see a lot of modded Lava cars.

theres my firestorm build, the first several pictures should give you an idea of what it may look like with tint and black badges etc!

also if you look in the photos/video section right under this section, you can find lots of pictures in the whiteout thread, hot lava thread, firestorm thread etc!

Impossible to choose. I had written Lava off because of the clash the exterior and interior colors, but my god you guys make it look awesome.

Find the color you'd feel comfortable with. Don't pick one because you were pressured into it. The car will look best by how you represent it.

agreed, color is almost everything between "loving" and "liking" your car, If i had any color other than red, I wouldnt love my frs AS much to be honest :lol:

Not pressured into anything...they all look so great.

Is it bad my only concern about white is the popularity of it?

I chose the same three colors as you did and I made my decision as follows: Red sports car makes you a cop target and can increase insurance with some companies. Between the Whiteout and Hot Lava I went with white because of my age (I plan on keeping this car for 10 years and I didn't think I would still like the orange when I was pushing 40), had I been 6 years younger I would have gone with the orange.

I don't think white is the color that sells the most. Look at a bunch of the club photos on the forum, there is typically more black than anything.

My dealership claims they sell more Ultramarine then any other color.

I went with Asphalt. I was going to the dealer to order a Firestorm and I saw they had an Asphalt sitting out front and I left with it after i fell in love with the color. I was never a fan of the orange until I started seeing the builds people are doing with that color. It makes me kinda wish I went with orange....

Lava is incredible with a few mods. However, so are the other colors.

My current car is 'Sunset Orange Metallic' and gets a lot of looks.

I wish Scion made the interior with some color options, a matching orange to the exterior (instead of red) would have been very cool.

I am still a young guy, but Orange does come with a certain connotation.

Ultramarine? Sorry in advance, but that color is the furthest from anything I would want. That and Silver are just not flattering colors.

Pick the one that's most easily available, or pick the one with fewer miles. Let chance decide and you won't be disappointed.

Or you could flip a coin and feel what your gut says the instant it's hanging in the air.

Yeah, my fear with Orange was that the "cool" factor would eventually wear off on me and then I would be stuck with a bright orange car.

Couldn't agree more on the Ultramarine... It's the only color I can't stand... I wish the FRS came in the BRZ blue instead of Navy blue.

I have a silver car now, after 5 years it still looks new, hides scratches and chips very well, that being said... its not a sports car color IMHO.

It may come down to that....I need a 3 sided coin.

I was also thinking of asking the dealer I want a white, red, or orange with zero option and under 10 miles. First one you find I will buy. Almost let them decide. Of course doing that would almost certainly eliminate the Lava.

Thanks for using my picture, I love the Whiteout, it was tied with Firestorm but my dad has a thing for Pearl whites. It's very beautiful in the sunlight and even in the night but I believe the best time it looks most appealing is during the sunset especially if the sky is pinkish-orange!

If I got another one, I'd choose Firestorm because it's not as common and it looks really nice when it's clean, it outlines the car really well and makes it look wider from afar.

No problem man, I was more concerned people would be upset. It was one of the better cars/pics I could find.

I feel like I am now more torn with White or Lava

Saw a hot Lava today, looked awesome in the sun.

I've wanted a white car since I was 16, but never had the chance to find one that I liked. I've had black and red so far and that's it.

White can be whatever you make it with little, simple changes. It can be clean/classy and it can be super aggressive with a simple wheel swap. It's not loud like red or orange is and it doesn't show every flaw and dust particle like black or dark gray.

I figured that since I was buying this car brand new, I was going to get EXACTLY what I wanted. No regrets on my decision and when I added tint it just added to the sex-appeal :wub::wub: I'd eventually like to get some silver TE37's on her in a couple years and keep her as clean looking as possible.

The white is beautiful. I was between raven and whiteout. I ended up with raven because that's what was available first. On occasion I regret not holding out for whiteout but after opti-coat the black is very classy.

Spend some on the threads and be patient. Make sure you get the one you want.
