I dont have a vortech but have a koyo. The distance from the back of the rad to the motor doesnts change so you will be fine. It does push the ac condensor forward alittle bit though.

What was the end result of your install @ft86me ?
I am interested in getting a bigger radiator as part of my build |

It fits, the condenser line/bolt is close to the intercooler but it fits.
I have Koyo Rad, Vortech, and Perrin Oil Coooler installed. |

I have about 40 hours of video to sort through but this is what I was able to dig up for now.
I pointed arrows where the condensor bolt line are close to intercooler. With the supplied self tapping screws Vortech gives and the how tight the clearance is, you need two people to mount this intercooler. It was a major pain in the ass to do, took over an hour just to complete that step. |
@Dezoris :) are you going to release a vid of the install ?

hey there! well no issue at all! perfect clearance and does not get in the way of anything. I even got the perrin oil cooler to fit in there with ease. I have the perrin up front in front of the intercooler and perrin has found that does not effect the charging system at ALL. Both upgrades def help though! hope this helps! |

If anyone with a vortech kit who wants to try our radiator, please PM me. We will give one to the first person at a killer deal. It looks as though our radiator will clear.

Our stage 2 turbo kit has a very thick core and it clears our radiator fine. To add more clearance, we opened up the holes on the upper radiator bracket and tilted the radiator back a little.

Which Koyo radiator is it that you have? This one (sku 10126632) or this one (sku VH012663)? I'm assuming it is the latter all aluminum one.

That's what I was thinking. Just wanted to be sure. I appreciate the videos and the pics. You've done a great job of documenting your experience with the car.

there should be no modification needed at all for the vortech kit and the koyo radiator. Also there should be no issue with the koyo radiator without the vortech just to give some clarification if there is any doubts in the air. I didn't have to modify anything from the vortech kit to fit the koyo radiator and I even have the perrin oil cooler up front with no issues.hope this helps.

Just a quick question for the Koyo rad, is the height same as OEM?
