Some pics from the NAIAS in Detroit

I went by the Subaru booth yesterday and thought I'd share some pics. I was hoping to sit in it but it was on the turn table.:mad0259:

The information on the screen is wrong
it is 55 front/ 45 rear |
look guys no buttons XD

Lol, they want us to guess. That is definitely a Limited because you can see the HVAC switches, the seats, the spoiler, the fog lights, but no steering wheel buttons.
|
Guess nothing's truly finalized yet. Weird lol

God, that car is gorgeous. Something every picture of this car needs is a person standing next to it just to get the point across how small it is. That's such a huge factor to the presence of this car that you just can't pin without context.
|
Did not see this vid posted, but given the volume, I could have missed it.
Cars.com talking about FRS vs BRZ... [U2B]kc_ea_wajNA&feature[/U2B] |
Quote:
That looks like a generic Subaru info screen with info regarding their AWD system in one of their cars. The picture looks like a AWD setup. |
have you passed by the scion booth? is there a scion booth? half the reason i'm heading up there was to SIT IN an FRS/BRZ. that really blows it's up on a turntable and not on the floor. :mad0260::mad0260::mad0260::mad0260::mad0260:

What I was thinking as well. |
how does it look in person? is she still a cutie up close or what?
|
It looks good in person. I was thinking of getting one as an auto X car. I'm worried about the headroom. Definitely need headroom with helmet. Anyone knows how tall is that guy in that clip?
Yes, scion was there with a silver one. I can't remember if I've taken a picture of that. I'll post when i get home. I'm quite worried about the hp on this car. It may feel like a downgrade from my old S2000CR? Hope it drives better anyways. |

Got to love people that think Subaru revolves around the BRZ. Look at the third picture, it's a Legacy. This is just an information screen for the car maker as a whole, that includes all models. The screen in question is probably talking about torque split in the AWD system.

^ Do you know why the antennae is missing? I'm still puzzling over that
|
The base is still there so perhaps they removed it just like how they remove the shift knobs at the auto shows.
So it looks like nobody can sit inside both the BRZ and FR-S; that sucks. |
Quote:
Lol I feel bad for Dave who traveled up there just to sit in the car. Sucks for all who hoped to sit inside. |

Excellent stuff Rye!
I absolutely agree with you on the 3, exterior is nicer than expected but interior is a total clusterf-. Same with the ATS - boring like all of the other Caddy sedans. The Dart looks better in your photos than in most of the promo pics, which is good cause it looks pretty darn good in the promo pics too. Also, BRZ in showrooms in 2-ish months? I want this to be true, but no US pricing on either BRZ or FR-S leads me to believe it's gonna be closer to 4-ish. |
Quote:
I talked to a Subaru press rep at the show and they said the car should show up at dealers starting "the same time as the Geneva Auto Show", which is in early March. They also said that while the price hasn't been disclosed yet, they can say the BRZ will start "..in the mid $20k's". Nothing really new I know, but just a little bit straight from the source. |

I got a few of the interior of both by zooming in with my camera while I was there.
Scion is the first two, and Subaru is the last. |
Quote:
I think most of us will agree tho that they both won't start at the same price. Meh. |

I certainly hope this is the case. |
Man that NSX is so sexy looking! Too bad I wouldn't be able to afford it new.

That Abarth's full red seats so nice! get out of my Dreams and Into my FUture BRZ!!!

I found a picture I took of the BRZ interior [from a distance] and it turned out better than I expected. You can see the parking lights are on, so the tachometer lettering is glowing red. Tougher to see are the dual levers on the side of the seat; one for recline and one for flip-up to access the rear seats. Also, the push-button start is there, and there are no steering wheel buttons.
