EDIT: Tires were swapped for Michelin PSS. The Dunlops didnt balance well at higher speeds and were plain dangerous in the wet

Looks good. Props for trying something different. :)

m.wood0213 03-28-2013 01:01 AM

Damn that looks good maybe its the angle or the spoiler but that looks really good. Where did you get them and how much $$$?

TyperRspec789 03-28-2013 01:18 AM

I like the originality of your headlights! The wheels are pretty sweet looking too!

Thanks, I really wanted a dark gray. These are listed as Hyper Black.

Thanks, not sure If I can post pricing here so i'll PM you. I wanted affordable, reasonably light, stickier tires, square setup, and this color and style wheel.

red_comet 03-28-2013 10:29 AM

Looks great! I've considered these wheels off and on, but as I'd never seen them on one of the twins, I've been undecided. Fantastic combo here!

Wow, I am really liking this. Car looks great all-around.

Opposed 03-28-2013 12:40 PM

How are you liking those tires? I am thinking about picking up a set but have heard mixed reviews. I daily drive it, mostly highway with some aggressive turning. I do not track or autocross my car.

I haven't done any aggressive driving on them yet so I'll let you know. I'm not too far from US129 (the dragon). I'm sure they are stickier than stock which I wanted. I also like the rim protector which is more prominent than on the Continental Extreme Contact DW which I also like. I had two sets of the Continental DWS on a previous car but i did replace two to road hazards, they had a softer sidewall.

Thanks! As far as daily driving them, they feel ok? Do they feel confident?

Oh yeah great, They balanced out well and everything. Steering is fine. Again, I'm still wearing off the mold release on the tires since I'm probably still under 20 miles on them. I can tell I'm on a thinner sidewall. The directional tread pattern has to be good in the rain. You can't rotate them side to side though. The Continental Extreme Contact DW shows to weigh 2lbs less and aren't directional for about $7 more per tire but I wanted a little more rim protection.

EDIT: Run from these tires! Low traction. Horrible in the wet. Didn't balance well at hwy speeds

Looks pretty good.

Clipdat 03-28-2013 11:42 PM

Sweet, gives the car that high end touring car look!

6-Shift 03-29-2013 01:47 AM

I've been waiting FOREVER for someone to finally get this setup...Your car looks amazing!

FastLane1000 03-29-2013 05:18 PM

Thanks guys! I really appreciate the response. Its nothing over the top but suits me and the car well.

Do you see any issues with curb rashes? I'm on the fence about these wheels but saw in another thread that it caused a lot of curb rash marks on the wheels. BTW - your car looks great

I think you are referring to the spoke of the wheel sticking out further than the outside lip of the wheel correct? I have not had any issues. The tires I'm running do have a good rim protector built in. I have run through my local car wash a few times with no problems from the tire guides. I stay away from curbs personally. Thanks for the thumbs up! I'm very happy with the setup.

Wow, I actually really like these rims. I'm shocked I can't find pictures of anyone else with them. They are fairly light, good price, and look great.

dori. 08-22-2013 09:59 AM

must've missed this. doesn't look bad at all

Ion 09-12-2013 10:18 PM

I have been looking a rims for a few months now. Comparing price, brand, weight and look, these rate way high up there on all categories. Looks great. Wonder how these would look with a Hot lava FRS.

I'm sure the lava would look great. I compared all those factors as well. I should update the original post but I did return the tires and go with Michelin PSS. The dunlops didn't deserve the direzza name. They were junk.

@FastLane1000 any idea if the SP10's will work with a big brake kit?

I have no idea honestly. I would assume yes since they are 18s but I'm not sure.

After heavy debating on whether I should spend alot on wheels, this thread made me decide to give something more affordable a try before I commit to anything too expensive. I put continental extreme contact 245/35's all the way around on them and I couldn't be happier with how the cars feels and drives.

I have rce yellows but have not put them on yet.
