Like that symmetric look and the pops/gurgles! How about some drive by videos?

Updated with more videos!

Those crickets sound very familiar! Jk, nice exhaust and clips.

That would be the WRX since it has a more distinct UEL rumble than the boxer engine's stock header. Now if you had one of the aftermarket UEL headers, it would be close in sound.

Ha yes you are correct it was the WRX.

But the Lachute exhaust does give a deep rumble!

Yes, it sure does. Sounds really good. Curious how it sounds with a full headerback setup and a header.

Honestly... the audio from those iphone vids is better than many of the cameras being used by some vendors. That exhaust sounds great.

thank you for sharing

Sounds awesome! Does it have any drone?

No drone. You can faintly hear the exhaust at highway cruising speeds but I wouldn't consider it a drone

Ill have mine road wise going in a week. Car at shop getting all its makeup on and installers mentioned it was best fit and finish they had seen for exhaust for FR-S yet so that's alot as they've seen well everything. Pretty excited to see and hear it in person myself. :happyanim:

Finally got my car, and I gotta say I am VERY pleased with results of the Lachute exhaust, no real drone or annoying cab noise. Now realize I am taking it easy as I am in break in period, car is new. I realize also some say no need for such worry, but I am just that way. The looks, the fitment and the sound so far I really like. In a few weeks I should be well into enough miles on car and hoping to have some time to contribute a few videos of my own in the mountain area. Should be a nice visual and also audible effect there I think. :D

Sounds really good, is there any info on horsepower gains?

necro-bumping this thread just to give some info.

I have had this exhaust on my BRZ for about a year from the previous owner. It really does sound great, just like in the clips. You will like it if you prefer deep, rumbly sounding exhausts. Even with the stock header, it gets that subie UEL rumble sound and a bassy almost v8-ish tone in the daily driving revs with no rasp at all. in the upper revs i kind of wish it was more hyped but it is more of a "mature" sounding exhausts.

I recently e-mailed lachute for sound and weight specs and they told me they did not have them. It is not a loud exhaust even at WOT, but definitely loud enough that you know its there. The way that bass frequencies travel better than higher pitch frequencies ensures that you get that throaty tone even without beating you up in terms of actual volume. When i am on cruise control between 65-75mph i don't get any noticeable drone. Of course as soon as you accelerate or decelerate from 3000 rpm you hear the exhaust, but that's part of what a performance exhaust is. The quality is very good and mine still looks in excellent shape (lived in the southwest US its whole life) and i have to say it is an aesthetically pleasing look. It has two magnaflow suitcase style mufflers so weight-wise I expect it to be on the heavier-than-stock end of the spectrum (the HKS legamax sports catback is a similar design and weighs 58 lbs).

IIRC at some point they did post dynos that showed a 3-4 whp gain which is pretty decent for a catback on stock header/fp.
