No, this is the small light above the front wheels.

Cjymiller 03-25-2013 08:27 PM

This is great! I've been waiting to see how long it would take for the market to come out with two plastic pieces for less than $100. $70 is still not ideal but I think once they get under $50 I'll be game.

If they work, I think they'd be a better choice than the clear JDM side markers for all the dark color 86's out there

BRZPDX 03-25-2013 08:44 PM

I'm curious to see this on a normal FR-S/BRZ as well. Tempted to get this for my SWP

boredom.is.me 03-25-2013 08:56 PM

They also have the clear.

Sick. This car gets the parts train goin fast. It's gonna be real hard, real quick to tell the "real" thing from the rep.

White64Goat 03-25-2013 10:27 PM

Bought em! Asked about these a couple of months ago when I saw them for way more. Glad to see them offered for a slightly more realistic price, still high, but way better than $100+++ :party0030:

GH05T 03-26-2013 01:03 AM

Damn if I knew these existed I wouldn't have invested $100 on clear ones :(

Think you boys might be waiting awhile. These things were and are still $100+ from vendors and other online retailers right now. So to see them at $69, that's a hell of a pricedrop really. At $50 or less, you'd be more than likely getting them up at cost

How much do you think it costs to manufacture a reflector in China? The markup on these things is probably 200% or more.

I don't know, I've never had anything manufactured in China, so please enlighten us ??

Too assume there is 200% markup would be pure speculation, unless you know something about the manufacturing process that we're all missing. It's not as simple as how much it cost to make something, there are other dynamics that refect the pricing also...

Sorry for the poor light, but here's one of mine installed on my Raven 6 mt.

Love the look of these over the orange marker.

JPxM0Dz 03-26-2013 11:25 AM

^^^Yeah that pic doesn't help, thanks anyways ;)

Well to give you an idea just hop on Alibaba, I source a lot of stuff from China and you would not believe how cheap it is to get this stuff made.

http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/26...ight_With.html

For example a reflector with LEDs for between $1-$5 a piece.

CrazyWookiee 03-26-2013 12:01 PM

I'll wait for the $29.99 version to pop up. It's bound to happen.

NorseLegend 03-26-2013 12:05 PM

Wouldn't mind a red pair..

No, you can buy a lot of at least 500 for $1-$5 per piece. You're looking at spending $500-$2500 + shipping + customs. Sure, once you receive the package you could then sell each of those at cost to cover your costs, but that's not how a business operates.

BRZranger 03-26-2013 12:31 PM

Ordered the clear, what a good deal! Hopefully it fits OEM...

Lee358 03-26-2013 12:35 PM

And then you mark them up 200% like I said in my first reply.

Hopefully! They may stick out a little from what I've seen and heard with all other aftermarket sidemarkers

SkAsphalt 03-26-2013 01:16 PM

For the people waiting for $10-$30 marker lights... you get what you pay for

I did purchase from an eBay store. JZSinternational. They are authentic JDM parts.

Do they stick out at all, or did they install flush like OEM ?

They're nice and dark! Almost hidden on your Raven FR-S

Stealthy

13 FR-S Veteran 03-26-2013 02:14 PM

There is a raised portion built into the lens that does stick out....but it doesn't detract from the aesthetic at all. They swap in where the oem ones fit with no additional modification necessary.

The ones from Helix and the OEM ones from Japan do stick out slightly. That is because the Japanese cars use that side marker as a blinker also and the bump makes the light more visible.

Red reflectors or lights on the front end of the any vehicle is illegal in all 50 us states. Having this in red is just asking for a ticket.

Trashed675 03-26-2013 04:19 PM

Damn, and i almost splurged on a $160 set of smoked ones a couple months ago, maybe if my clears ever break i'll pick up a set of these.
