Best thing you've bought for your frs/brz?

Okay, so I saw a regret thread and look for one similar to this and nothing came up so what is one thing you are just like damn I'm glad I bought this. For me it would have to be the weather tech floor mats. Besides the car of course. Photos are always nice!

My collective STI mods. I can't really single out any one STI mod since each mod needs the other mods to look right.

Actually, my title is called

THE BEST THINGS I HAVE DONE FOR MY FR-S THUS FAR...FOR FREE!

My FR-S:

-I kept the ORIGINAL STICKER PRICE, misc number stickers, temp registration w/dealer sticker, dealer plates frames, dealer plates, etc.

-still have the engine bay nice and clean.

-still has ALL the blue-ish plastic covers on the pedals, pillars, kick panels, etc

-still has never been outside the blazing sunlight for more than an hour.

-still has never been abused, driven hard, and hasn't seen 80+ mph.

-still has never seen a dash of harsh weather and or rain.

-still has all of the underside metals shining clean.

-still has that NEW CAR SMELL

-still only has 303 original miles.

-still is only driven on the weekends.

-still is FLAWLESS, MINTY-MINT, and UNMOLESTED

I feel so bad for your car...you show it love by driving it!!! Everyone knows that the ones whose parents never let them out to play get weird and end up becoming a serial killer... j/k ;)

Oh no, please dont misunderstand.
I love this car, but I also love her big sister, my AE86 hatch, my first 86 love. The ZN6 will get her turn. I'm just not in a hurry to break her in...yet!

Full Blown Stage 1... FI just sets your car apart from everybody else's.

Weathertech floor mats. I've heard it might snow for the fifth or sixth time since I picked up the car

I drive my FR-S year 'round. In my part of Canada, that means snow...lots of it. So far my best investment (besides the car itself) has been a set of Bridgestone Blizzak WS60 tires. Simply amazing traction in the white stuff.

Huehuecoyotl 03-24-2013 08:58 AM

Vortech.

Its all good that you love your car, but come on, this is not a Ferrari! Less than an hour of sunlight lol!!! Just remember this is a $25k car.

All those pieces with plastic can easily be replaced if needed
Imagine when he gets his first rock chip:eyebulge:

One day when i do own a ferrari(dreams;)) ill enjoy the crap out of it.

LeeMaster 03-24-2013 03:06 PM

rear foglight and EVO3 exhaust, they look so good together especially at night

shawnperolis 03-24-2013 03:10 PM

hahahaha that has to be the biggest trolling ever. 25k car treated like the first-ever-built original Model T.

midnightfrolic 03-24-2013 03:13 PM

everything i buy is always best. detailing products. sharkfin antennae. subwoofer! dslr to take pics of her.

frslee 03-24-2013 06:51 PM

Purchased auto-dimming rear view mirror from subaru. It's coming tomorrow, but can't wait to install it!
Since the car is pretty low itself, any suv height's low beam hurts my eyes.

I had the Toyota Homelink auto-dimming rear view mirror installed "from the factory" and it is THE best accessory/addition to my car by far. With how low this car is stock and being lowered another inch, headlights line right up with the mirrors. With this thing, I can look directly at headlights and not mess with my night vision at all.

Second place, CARSMO armrest.

While the rest of my mods are nice and I do not regret them at all, those two have made the most difference.

I think it was $380ish installed by Toyota and part of my factory warranty.

frslee 03-25-2013 12:08 AM

I think it was around 138~145 + shipping. It was subaru online parts store.

Let me get this straight, you bought an auto dimming rear view mirror? Are you trolling or did you not know that rear view mirrors have a small lever at the bottom for night driving?

Chewie4299 03-25-2013 12:29 AM

Perrin Inlet tube and CAI combo.

Complements my Perrin Catback very nicely.

m.wood0213 03-25-2013 12:32 AM

ARMREST!!!

MiniGuy 03-25-2013 12:35 AM

Nameless exhaust. Now it sounds as good as the rest of the car looks!

gvan1998 03-25-2013 12:41 AM

I drove the car in the sun more than an hour! and drove it in harsh rain yesterday!

MY13FRS 03-25-2013 01:00 AM

@idreamofdrifting

Soo... you're a proud owner of a garage queen. Now stop it and drive the damn thing.

blue cat 03-25-2013 09:41 AM

Dashcam with parking mode. Gives me that extra peace of mind.

Oh shit! Is that what thing does? OMG, all of these years, I thought it was just some lever they put on there to fiddle with while sitting at a light.

Lemme guess, next you are going to tell me that I should have opted for manual windows because that is what those spinning cranks on the door are for?

The reality is, I bought a rear-view mirror with the garage door opener built into it that happened to have an auto-dimmer feature. If I were to do it again, the auto-dimming feature would be the priority over the opener unquestionably. It has easily proven its value in 3 months.

civicdrivr 03-25-2013 10:38 AM

:word: Autodimming mirror ftw

These are halfway measures. You should get it permanently mounted and hung from a ceiling, like the Wright Brother's Airplane in the Smithsonian.
