It's fundraiser not so much for the event alone as to bring attention so the event doesn't happen again. It's time to stand up and fight for a change.

scionfr_s 03-18-2013 09:46 PM

It's almost 2hrs drive for me but I don't mine lol

sklimo 03-18-2013 09:47 PM

Same for me, but well worth it

Chewie4299 03-18-2013 09:54 PM

I believe I was there many many years ago to visit one of the races. I was probably 5-7 years old at the time. All I remember is sitting in the middle of the track on the lawn watching the cars go by and enjoying myself!

reflex2o3 03-19-2013 05:53 PM

I want to go, but I want to only spectate,n if I leave my car with around other spectator , i'm afraid I come back with a ding on my door, n if I enter the show I probably can't leave when I want to

That is definitely not a worry at Lime Rock, I've parked in the general lot many times, it's full of high end and performance cars. The majority of people there are enthusiasts and will be respectful of your ride. Also, parking in the show field is no problem to leave early, they line the cars up in rows with plenty of room to make an early exit. I've never been boxed in there before.

I'll probably go, will likely be in the Vette though. However, I'll stop by the 86 group and say hello.

Car shows at Lime Rock are typically on the track itself, so if you are showing your car then it's people's zippers and buttons not door dings you need to worry about. If it's not on the track it'll be in one or both paddocks (pit area). If you are parking in the general lot (top of the hills infield near the chalet), it is a combination of asphalt and dirt (dirt is closer to the camping area) so if you get there early you'll probably have an asphalt spot (sometimes this area is used for vendors if the paddocks are used for the show cars). Under rare circumstances the outfield (grass hill) will be used for parking. Wherever you're parked staff will direct you into a spot, they place the cars decently apart (if you have a long door like we do they don't make you park 2" from a car they give you enough space).

All this will depend on the size of the show (how many registered cars/vendors) but in several seasons of working there I never heard anyone complain about damage to their car from parking.

That is awesome, I actually almost picked up a c5 z06 myself. My buddy Antonio has one and I am in love with it, however I know the trouble I would get into lol. So instead I ditched my turbo setup and am putting a ls swap in my s13 lol. :burnrubber:

Car looks great, looks even better rolling down the road though. And that new TRD exhaust fills up the rear diffuser nicely. :w00t:
