Looks sick. The early Saint's Rows were really so-so GTA clones in my opinion, but SRIII did a fantastic job. You pretty much were able to do all the ridiculous things right off the bat, so it changed the tone of the game. This looks like it's going one step further in that ridiculous direction, so it looks like it's going to be a blast to play.

I have yet to try any of the Saint Row games. I personally like GTA and always heard SR was a wannabe copycat. Until I saw what you can do in the third game it didn't seem like this series was trying to copy GTA that much anymore. And from the looks of this new trailer I'm confused as to what this game is really about? It looks crazy in a good way to mess around and have fun with it. I may want to try it if my friend ends up getting it since he liked the third game.

Saints Row 1 you could call a GTA clone. saints row 2 was so much more funny then gta 4. Then in Sr3 we really separated our selves from what people know as GTA. Sr4 is changing all that again. You guys will have good fun.

GTA is more like a GTR godzilla with no soul.

Saints row is much more like the FRS. Its a game made for gamers to do what ever it is they want to do. It may not be the best graphically or have the biggest budget... but its going to give you a great time every time you play it. Like the 86 does when you drive it. It may not be the fastest but it gives you a good time everytime you drive it.

Fuck..... I have 100% On SRIII now I'm going to have to get this lol... Can't wait

I still find myself going right back to play GTA cause its still fun to play and mess around with too.

The way I see it GTA is somewhat more seroius (realistic) while SR is goofier (unrelistic). The advantage of SR over GTA is it's designed to not care about setting limits, therefore it will put some giant mascot or monster (not too sure based off the trailer) roaming the city which seems fun. Its just not what I usually look for in a game, but I have been trying to be more open and let that inner kid who used to play games like Sonic, Mario, or Crash Bandicoot.

BTW any chance of a clone of the BRZ/FRS makes it into the game? That would be cool if it did.

Freaking awesome. I love SR. It's so much more fun than GTA. GTA takes itself too seriously - SR is over the top and embraces it.

I will say that the one thing I didn't like about SR3 is the inability to rip up landscape objects and manipulate them. I'd like to see that come back. I greatly enjoyed throwing cinderblocks at cops and beating pimps to death with roadsigns.

The last GTA game I played was vice city before I played 4. It was just so different. People loved the art look of GTA 4.. but if you played it you know it was a laggy mess. Drive a car through the boardwalk or whatever and the game comes to a halt of the framerate due to physics ect. It took me over 2 years to finish GTA 4. It was just painful. I had no need to have a girlfriend in that game. I was tired of getting phone calls from my cousin who I would have let die if I could. Didnt want to do bowling or any of that. I want to blow shit up. Drive insane cars. and be a general badass.

And yeah you're right about GTA having some frame rate issues, but its not like every game doesn't have its flaws and imo it definitely wasn't a deal breaker. And lol, stupid Roman always bugging the hell out you. SMH. I hope the guys at Rockstar lighten up on those annoying phone calls for GTA V.

Loved SR3. It was really the successor to GTA:SA I had been waiting for. There is literally no other game that would ever allow you to disguise yourself as a toilet and sit in an alley as your friend runs by looking for you, only to shoot him in the back with a shotgun that causes a shark to crash through the street and eat him.
