Car no. 74XX Build date October 2012.
Delivery January 2013.

No 30xx built in May 2012 and took delivery in July 2012

built aug 2012 delivered Oct

48xx built July 2012, delivered August 2012

43XX June 12. Not really comfortable posting vin details here.

How do you get this info?

Sticker on the passenger door has the built date and the VIN is on your license disk.

Build date April 12... No idea how to determine the number from the vin...

Last 4 digits of the VIN number. Ours came from the same dealer so I'm curious... :popcorn:

I think there is a flaw with our theory... Given the number of cars sold, it does not make sense that number 74 was delivered in January ... Do I understand this correctly?

Yup, 7400 so my car is pretty new, in fact so far only @Razzle has newer. He is 8xxx Damn you razzle! :)

Thanks Buddy, this forum was the only thing keeping me sane while making me jealous at the same time. I have been everyday on the phone with Toyota H/O, the dealerships, DP's & their cats & dogs - initial order was with Durban South Toyota - when I heard about the car at Lydenburg, Mphumalanga, I jumped into my car & drove 9 hours to get there. My 86 was worth every second of the wait & the 9 hour drive to get it :burnrubber:

Should have tried another dealer mate, that wait sounds too long.

Build Date May 12, VIN 30XX took delivery 19 July 12
