I was going to buy the lip kit in the above picture but saw on facebook that they were working on something and decided to wait a few days and see. I'm glad I did.

Good call. Patience is something I lack.

digital_assassin 03-08-2013 07:47 PM

Haha. Me too. I still really like the lip kit but the whole bumber replacement with the built in brake ducts may save a few $$ since I was eyeing the ducts too. May be a while before final production and pricing is released though.

This GT bumper really look good!

Late April release date.

AZFA20 03-08-2013 11:20 PM

I have to say that looks really good. Any idea if they plan to make matching side skirts and rear end?

digital_assassin 03-09-2013 02:12 AM

I sure hope so. Even if they don't I think this will be my next purchase.

robispec 03-09-2013 02:16 AM

ME TOO! Sexy

philstar 03-09-2013 03:13 AM

HOT HOT HOT

Derik210 03-09-2013 03:19 AM

yeah loving the way it looks

BadCompany235 06-19-2013 09:09 AM

what ever happened to this?

digital_assassin 06-21-2013 11:52 AM

It's still pre-production testing from what I gather.

GH05T 06-21-2013 12:38 PM

Man I love APR products but their front bumper wouldn't allow my BRZ DRL and Fogs to fit it seems like.

i'm under the impression that APR is a performance focused company. the vents are likely designed as brake ducts rather than housing for fogs.

digital_assassin 06-22-2013 03:18 PM

Yes, they are functional brake ducts.

Deep Six 06-23-2013 10:47 AM

Absolute must have for me!

velin86 06-23-2013 07:55 PM

I'd like to see one color matched.

Burrcold 06-23-2013 09:12 PM

I was wondering when APR would start releasing stuff for these cars. The parts they had for the 7th gen Celica were crazy amazing.

tech4pdx 06-23-2013 10:04 PM

I've had this bumper with the hose kit sitting in my garage now for almost a month. Waiting on other parts to come in to complete my look.

digital_assassin 06-23-2013 10:28 PM

Damn, when can I come check it out? I thought they were still tweaking it.

I'm getting some dry carbon parts to go along with the bumper. Waiting.. The stuff will be test fitted at PRE before coating of the bumper. I'll let you know and you can come to PRE if you want to see it.

digital_assassin 06-24-2013 11:18 AM

Does it have the splitter added to it like this?

https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphot...04388221_n.jpg

I can't tell from the photos if this is just an add on or if it's part of the bumper.

As you may know, the GT bumper has an integrated lip, brake ducts and more surface area overall than stock. The APR carbon fiber splitter is an optional piece and the GT bumper has provisions for it if you choose to purchase it. I have not decided on whether or not to use the splitter.

Not bADD at all.

Deep Six 08-03-2013 09:03 AM

It's now August and I can't believe this front clip is not yet on the market!!!

I really want this paired with rocket bunny sides.

tech4pdx 08-03-2013 02:13 PM

Who said it isn't? I have it sitting in my garage with brake cooling ducts/rotor backing plates. It will be on my car hopefully sometime in August. I'll post up pics when done.

Got pics of the rotor backing plates for the brake ducts? Was eyeballing the Essex Endurance kit for the integrated brake cooling into the caliper bracket but really prefer the Sprint kits lower mass. Wondering about cooling alternatives w/o having to go big brake.

Edit-Disregard; answered own question:

APR GT Bumper

Anybody who is thinking about buying this bumper, I strongly recommend that you look elsewhere. APR sent me a bumper with a flawed front light housing problem (which my shop tried to fix to no avail), BUT more importantly this bumper does NOT have any side marker light provisions! This is completely opposite of the publicly available photos. APR will not give me my money back. I have ~$1000 (+more in labor) in a junk bumper and rotor backing plates/hose kit, which appears to be unrecoverable. They keep blaming their unwillingness to refund my money on the fact that my shop tried to fix the front light housing problem, ignoring the original problems.

Edit: Now they are saying that the bumper on Facebook was not indicative of the "production" bumper. There you have it folks. Somebody decided that there was no need for side marker lights! Obviously not proper for street use!

I hope that they have corrected this, as I just ordered the bumper myself.

update us when you receive it. When I saw this bumper myself, it was in pretty bad shape. Alot of body work needed for it to work.

Fonzie517 08-28-2013 10:58 PM

It's sitting in California waiting on some parts from Seibon. I'm going to call APR tomorrow to find out more about the side marker issue.

tech4pdx 08-28-2013 11:25 PM

Also.. According to the shop that was fitting my APR GT bumper, there was significant trimming of the bumper required around the area of the headlights. Something I did not mention considering how mild it was compared to the other problems.

Fonzie517 08-29-2013 08:27 PM

I just spoke with somebody at APR. He told me that they only have one set of tooling for the GT front bumper and that it has provisions for the side markers. Could you post some pictures of the problem areas?

tech4pdx 08-29-2013 08:34 PM

Hahaha.. Are you f'n kidding me? I'll fill this post up with pics shortly. I'm headed to the shop. I have a long email thread with a (name unspecified) sales rep at APR that says the bumper was never shipped with side marker provisions!

tech4pdx 08-29-2013 11:18 PM

Pics tomorrow. Shop was closing up when I got there.

Did your bodyman modified the bumper at some point? Its going to be hard for them to take back the bumper since its not in the original condition.
