350z style "ram air duct"

Anyone try this yet, or even think of it? I'm pretty sure ima do it, of course requires drilling into the bumper but if you were to mount it on the flat face of the bumper it looks like it would force air strait into the box (after removing the snorkel of course. Thoughts?

There's a thread on this already. If its the thread I'm thinking of it got shut down due to the amount of bickering going on

That looks really unprofessional, is this a track only car?

Cade01 03-08-2013 09:01 PM

It looks like they couldn't think of anything better, if it was my car I'd be pissed if they did that. I would rather put a NACA duct in the hood than cut a giant hole in the bumper.

BMHumanic 03-08-2013 09:28 PM

Guess ill mess around with photoshop to see what it looks like, wouldn't be the same as that turbo app'd one since it'll be off centered and I couldn't stand something looking that bad

That's huge! I've got a carbon fiber one about half that size il be putting on mine offset to pretty much aim at my turbo inlet. Il throw some pics up when I finish the build

stilletto 03-09-2013 12:43 AM

i think it'll look good if the cut-out vent is on both sides of the emblem, to make it more symmetrical.

Then you would just be increasing the drag for no reason. The point of the cutout is to funnel air into the intake.
