Custom Magnaflow Cat Back

Just wanted to share my FR-S's new exhaust. It was custom made to fit my custom diffuser that I fab'd up and installed (diffuser is from an Elise). The exhaust is made by Burlingame Mufflers: Performance and Custom. It is a hair quieter than my Muffler delete I had before this.

Full 2.5 inch tubing with 3" tips. A Race Magnaflow muffler installed midship where the stock resonator used to be.

P.S. Dan is truly a master at his trade and an absolute delight to deal with.

Took it home and put the "beauty rings" around the tips. I'll get better pics during the day when I am at the track today. =)

I like that ALOT!!!

So is the diffuser and grille from an Elise? It's a shame here in the UK we are required to have the lower light section as I'd love to do that.

86_ZN6 03-02-2013 05:33 AM

Sounds good!

So where's the reverse light now?

That is very nice!! I wonder if you could get led switchbacks to work as both turn signals and reverse lights?

Damm that should be the stock look. Nice job!

TRD_07 03-02-2013 12:33 PM

Very cool! Was the diffuser a direct fit or was there cutting involved?

mad_sb 03-02-2013 12:45 PM

Looks great man!, but not a big fan of cutting the rear crash beam like that.

wbradley 03-02-2013 12:46 PM

Very nice!! How do you plan to finish the panels? Or leave raw because racecar?

ScionFrsFan 03-02-2013 12:52 PM

The funny thing is with a few more exterior changes you could have people fooled on what the car is... Is that a lotus? Is That a Race Car? Yes, Yes it is. :D

Clipdat 03-02-2013 02:44 PM

Looks and sounds great!

DarkSunrise 03-02-2013 03:54 PM

Nice job, looks mean. Would have been perfect if it used the Toyota "T" weave!

ImAwesome 03-02-2013 04:17 PM

Huehuecoyotl 03-02-2013 04:18 PM

Xdragonxb0i 03-02-2013 07:45 PM

I like everything except the grill. IFK maybe just need to paint the back of it black

WolfsFang 03-02-2013 10:36 PM

Like the sound but loved what you did to the rear.

Captain Insano 03-02-2013 11:13 PM

Looks awesome and exhaust sounds good too.

ScionFrsFan 03-02-2013 11:34 PM

This makes me jelly

ForReal-Someday 03-02-2013 11:55 PM

Pretty sweet! Where did you source the diffuser, and how much did it run you? I might have done a single exit turn down through that hole in the middle of the diffuser. Then you could mount some reverse lights in those two holes where the exhaust is now.

matchamochi 03-02-2013 11:58 PM

cause racecar!! bad ass man.

There is plenty of space for reverse lights! :bonk: :happyanim:I won't be using the stock piece though. Maybe ill do the whole switch back thing into the turn signals.

Which manga flow muffler was used for this? Part number if available.

I'll ask Burlingame Mufflers about the part number when I see them next week. It is a 6" diameter race muffler. It is something like 20" long.

The Slow One 03-04-2013 12:17 PM

I like that rear diffuser setup a ton! Thanks for the idea! :)

sw20kosh 03-04-2013 08:37 PM

part number: 10436

Thank you, I have the JDL EL header now, I am looking to run 2.5" pipes with a high flow cat, and two 14832's at the back
