BBS RGR 18x8.5 ET35 Stock Height and Dropped

Hi guys just wanted to share some shots of my BRZ on BBS RGR's. Stock height pic for now but I'll get some more shots Monday when the coils are installed.

Pbrown 03-14-2013 10:41 PM

Looks awesome. What size tires?

slates74 03-14-2013 11:15 PM

They're 215's. I honestly can't remember if they're a 35 or 40 profile.

Ro_Ja 03-15-2013 01:42 AM

Sweet. I was considering these wheels too since I have RG-Rs on my tC.

Jive Turkey 03-15-2013 09:34 PM

coils eh?

R2RO 03-15-2013 10:38 PM

nice

DarrenDriven 03-18-2013 04:37 AM

Topic merged: same wheel with same spec

swift996 03-18-2013 09:57 AM

These wheels are so clean, they would have been an awesome set as a stock option IMO.

How is the ride compared to stock?

slates74 03-18-2013 09:16 PM

Honestly, I have the compression about midway through the adjustments and it feels just like stock if only marginally stiffer. I haven't put a lot of time on them yet but they really feel very plush. Smoother than the v1's I had on my wrx.

Im pretty jealous of your 8.5's ! My CH-R's are only 8.0 wide.

How much do the 18x8.5's weigh?

Myles

Ro_Ja 03-19-2013 12:30 AM

18.3 lbs according to BBS website.

Your wheels look amazing Myles! Nothing to be jealous of!
I believe Ro Ja is right, they're in the neighbor hood of 18lbs. I really wanted to keep the weight down on the wheels if possible since the car isn't a torque monster to begin with. I just lucked out that the fitment was pretty spot on. Still waiting for the coils to settle but the initial alignment worked out to be 1.6 degrees camber in the front and about 1.9 in the back. Not a terrible starting point with stock top hats.

CSG Mike 04-23-2013 01:35 PM

Mother of god.

I'm a RG-R fan too. I have them on my s2k.

slates74 04-23-2013 01:50 PM

Thanks Mike, you're definitely right about the BRZ being easier to drive than the s2k at the limit! I had an AP1, the BRZ feels like it always gives me an extra second to correct and over steer where as the s2k would just fully rotate.

Thank you sir. I'm thinking of sending these out to powdercoat sometime soon. Maybe a dark metallic bronze?
