Nice find. I would love to see other angles. I will still hit it.

WingsofWar 12-17-2011 04:38 PM

THERE IT IS!!!!

EDIT** From the Training manual scans...they show very different dimensions among the front and rear fenders. So i had thought they were different for the TRD model. But in this photo they are normal based on the factory body. So all my accounts that they have been different are false..SORRY EVERYONE!

RRnold 12-17-2011 04:39 PM

I love that duckbill!!

Snap, the Modelista in the background!!:happyanim:

Yeah, I saw that! I like the TRD kit a lot better but I know it's going to be $$$. It's very clean too, not ricey!

I like TRD more too. Modelista look tacky with that side molding. :bellyroll:

tranzformer 12-17-2011 05:04 PM

Anyone able to tell if this is the Aisin AY6 or AZ6?

Same here!

I might conform to the FR-S, do the full 86 swap, TRD body kit on some CCW classics or TE37SL's.

I was thinking the same thing! That side molding needs to go!

ZetaVI 12-17-2011 05:09 PM

Finally! I like it! TRD did a good job. I think it is a bit nicer than Modelista.

tranzformer 12-17-2011 05:16 PM

I'm just curious how the BRZ STI and the 86 TRD will differ (besides appearance).

Snoopyalien24 12-17-2011 05:19 PM

Oh my goodness. I love that spoiler most of all, but need the full kit to flow perfectly. Excelent :D

Abflug 12-17-2011 05:26 PM

Danke, Harinjo!

TRD GT 86 for me!

JDLM 12-17-2011 05:32 PM

need that on a BRZ

subatoy 12-17-2011 05:33 PM

God I hate stupid black wheels! :mad0260:
I hope they aren't standard on the TuRD package.
whats the guess on the price of this trim? $4k more?

NESW20 12-17-2011 05:41 PM

that's the color combo i'm going for. white w/ black wheels. me and Dave are gonna fight about it, lol. :)

4k-6k sounds about right to price this premium, but at the expense of piecing all those parts yourself. Who know if any of it will be available for the US market. I seriously doubt it. Especially a TRD model north american bound.

If anything you would need to get scion or Toyota to ship those parts for you, as part of their catalog.

Side note..i hate those wheels too especially in that color....id have preferred the other BBSs in 17/18s.

I somewhat envy International (GT86/Toyota86) buyers because of this.

SCION tC's have TRD parts on them fwiw I don't see why this would be any different

your right...for some reason I am just stuck in the past about trims available for US market aka not the same as Japanese market. And for a long time how people have bitched non-stop about..."JDM why you no available in US" and then herp derped about overnight parts from japan.

That is true

MrVito 12-17-2011 05:54 PM

I'm having an internal dilemma here. This car is not fast enough to look this fast, and that makes me mad, but, it looks so good that I still want it. This is when Toyota and Subaru pull a Blizzard and delay the vehicle for a year or three.

lol massive trollin

I cant wait for an automaker to build a the most fugliest car ever priced under 25k, and be better under the performance bracket of the 370z and mustang.

look fast n be slow or look ugly n be fast

oldskule 12-17-2011 06:12 PM

TRD one looks really good! The only thing I'd change is the exhaust - dual instead of quad exit. :D

Not feeling the Modellista at all. Too much chrome on the door insert and front lip, and the wheels look terrible IMO.

madfast 12-17-2011 06:13 PM

i dont like how the kit looks so tacked on. but that spoiler, damn it looks nice. also the TRD wheels and BBK... :party0030:

busted

I do love ugly cars though. So ugly cheap and fast sounds great to me!

DuMa 12-17-2011 06:19 PM

spoiler and side skirts are super nice. rear and front. im not feeling it very much. they shouldnt really cover the diffuser part of the rear. its the best part of the rear

Levi 12-17-2011 07:16 PM

Where are the TRD N0 and TDR N1? I want a roll cage!

BTW thanks ofr the pics. I want a brochure!

MiguelAE86 12-17-2011 07:19 PM

Oh Gawd. The Modelista versions looks like its trying WAYYYY too hard to be "mature" and for that matter, not succeeding at all.

Ew lol

VenomRush 12-17-2011 07:37 PM

i need a bigger resolution!!!

Levi 12-17-2011 07:43 PM

I need more details on the TRD N0 and TRD N1!

There's so much WIN on this thread!

The "Door Stabilizers" are interesting :)

Ikaros 12-17-2011 07:52 PM

Holy!!! That looks so nice with white I wonder how it looks in blue or grey.

Black wheels are not everyone's cup of tea, but the gold wheels makes the car look like they used parts from leftover parts bin:barf:.

JDLM 12-17-2011 07:55 PM

The article translated to English is pretty funny

kvl 12-17-2011 07:58 PM

both TRD and Modelista looks great, its going to be a hard choice

RYU 12-17-2011 08:02 PM

man... i wish we (the US) get these JDM TRD parts. TRD USA isn't exactly known for their stellar engineering.

jedichimp 12-17-2011 08:10 PM

Diggin that rear, although the factory rear looks pretty good too. Nice to see some TRD stuff out already, guess the 86 helped that push. Can't wait to pick one of these up.

MrBRZ 12-17-2011 08:12 PM

I do think the black wheels are quite sexy. But I do agree that it looks so much faster than it is. How long must we wait for a supercharger kit upgrade?
