Mid-Ohio 6/10/13
 

Didn't see an event section so I figured I'd post this here...


Was planning on running Putnam pretty much all year since I feel 'safe' there but the group that I have run with there in the past (Torqued Racing) are helping put on an event at Mid-Ohio for a great price so I'm not going to pass up on the opportunity to run such an awesome track!

So far three friends and I have signed up, just thought I'd spread the word for anyone that might be interested. Only bad part is that it is on a Monday. Here's the info...

You instruct with Expo before? Don't know your screenname. Just trying to match the name and a face :) I might make the drive up to WMHM this year instead of flying up. I'm assuming you'll be there :thumbup:

Yup, I instructed at Mid-Ohio this year. Names Austin. I also have been using the account we set up for when we become a vendor (GTM_Challenge). This is the car I was in at Expo last year:

Selling this Miata currently...I should be picking up my FR-S by the end of the week!

I'll be at WMHM as well. Hoping to have someone drive my car out so I can trailer the other toy. :)

I'll try to be there. I may be switching jobs (will find out hopefully tomorrow, as I hate working sundays and I like making more money haha)

btw, if I go, I will be looking to have an instructor ride with me. It's not because I haven't been there or done an HPDE yet, but because I'm not used to driving agile rwd cars (mainly FI muscle cars). I'd rather learn how to take proper lines instead of powering through corners.

I'm finalizing my travel plans, but will register this week. I've always wanted to do Mid-Ohio.

Me and my friend with his S2k will probly sign up for ITR Expo if we like the track, which shouldn't be an issue lol. Just sucks it's during the week, makes it more difficult.

Yeah, Mid Ohio is pretty hard to get on the weekends unfortunately :(

I just drove Mid-Ohio in iRacing the other day and loved it. I think the technical nature of the track (especially T7-14) will really suit the FRS/BRZ.

Mid Ohio is a great track, just not very forgiving :/

awesome track but you need to be focused and slowly explore the limits. There are spots where a mistake can be VERY costly.

Ah, won't be there. I help run the ITR expo event which is two days t mid Ohio in sept for $395 including a catered banquet one of the nights :) so basically $125 more than auto interests event but includes another day for a bunch more seat time, event tshirt, good dinner one night. Austin (gtm) will be at my event also. It's sept 9-10 in case you are interested.

I registered March or April for novice. Thanks to OP for the heads up. Working in retail means that weekends belong to the company.
