I don't get it.

Your thread's purpose was to talk about why we mod our cars.

But there's a picture of some kid on a toilet.

I think its time for me to sleep. lol That or I'm trippin...

I just finished getting sleep, I'm still confused.

GTB/ZR-1 02-07-2013 07:17 AM

I've modified my car w/ toilet seats on the driver & passenger sides, replacing the factory bucket seat.

Moshpit37 02-07-2013 08:55 AM

Speaking of tripping... @WillBRZ your signature bug freaked me out for a second. Reading the forum on my new Galaxy Note 2 and it looks the same size as a flea jumping around. Lol

dorifuto 02-07-2013 11:21 PM

So is this a post pics of ourself on a shitter thread?

Asterisked Accolade 02-07-2013 11:23 PM

'Pretty sure the OP is asking if we are modding out cars just to be different while at the same time implying doing things just because they are different is not always a wise decision-- as shown by the tool-bag on the toilet.

To answer the topic question, there are multiple reasons why i mod my car. I want it to be more competent [and even more safe] both on the street and while at the track. I also like that i can make the car look however i want; artistic freedom of expression is a paramount bonus. I like speed, i like art, and yes-- i like that it sets us apart. It doesn't hurt to stand out. . .you know, unless you're taking a photo of yourself infront of a mirror speaking gibberish and flaunting materialism.

dorifuto 02-07-2013 11:25 PM

Hmmm. Would been cooler if it was a shitter thread.

Good push! That's one hefty poop! Lol Just messing with ya and yes I have modded my car to stand out mostly because at the meets I got tired of playing find which red one is mine and sorting threw the pics trying to see the driver and if it was me.

Had someone mistake me for someone else at a meet. We both have WRB Limiteds with window tints.

wrxgoose 02-08-2013 02:58 AM

This.

dem00n 02-08-2013 09:40 AM

Why do people have to try to be different when they are already different?

you don't need to mod a car to learn how to drive well

you don't need to stand out to be different

you don't need to be different to stand out

focus on being yourself and let the chips fall where they may

Beyer Subaru 02-08-2013 10:37 AM

I modify my cars to make them "mine". I usually end up being the "different" one in the collective group. But I wouldn't be butt-hurt if someone modded theirs to be just like mine.
Since I am on an OEM+ path with this car, I would assume that I won't be that "different" when all is said and done.

norsamerican 02-08-2013 10:42 AM

i am not misrepresenting your position

your position did not include a quantifier, as such it has no bounds and applies universally

if you wish to modify your statement to include boundaries you may do so

I don't care to. You reject the presence of an informal fallacy. It seems you're merely being deliberately provocative. Also, it's not my quote and i feel no obligation to defend it.

I'll quote it because i agree with it when people question modifying cars. But i'm not going to bicker with someone about it, that's asinine.

wbradley 02-08-2013 12:11 PM

Mods- I'd remove this thread as the OP's initial post uses a racial expletive, can be deemed offensive

7thgear 02-08-2013 12:13 PM

warning! you may be offended!

Yeah happened to me a lot and nothing makes you feel more special than wondering why your key fob isn't working while your car is going crazy behind you...

srtblake 02-08-2013 10:14 PM
