Post your dirty 86

Since I've seen another member posting his uh, relatively dirty bumper picture, I thought all brothers from the north should proudly exhibit a small showcase of how beautiful our car look in the middle of winter. Bring out the pitchforks!

Ps: that white crap on the car is salt, not snow.

Awesome thread... I just hosed mine off the other day, but as soon as I pick up a little tomorrow after the rain that comes thru, I'll post!

Thank god I live in California

g0lden 02-06-2013 08:29 PM

I'd invest in a cheap winter car instead of driving my FR-S in the salt.

I don't have any dirty days here in Houston. Most the rain and dirt just roll off since I keep it so clean lol
I'm a bit OCD about that kinda stuff.

These are the only pic's of the car i have right now where its dirty. Rim's were just installed in these pics so they are clean but i believe the car hadn't been washed in about 3-4 weeks. Love this color always looks clean until you get right up against it.

ahhhhh salt :bonk: do they rust proof the cars where you live from the factory?

glad i live in sunny cali... just got to watch out for rocks dinging up my windshield..got a tiny one and took care of it before it spreds :mad0259:

SportInjected 02-06-2013 11:53 PM

^ I believe all fr-s's and brz's are galvanized from the factory, so rust shouldn't be a problem for many years.

On the topic, I need to get a picture of my car on there. It's so filthy, I have salt stains on the roof lol

makes sense now...yeah people that might move to a place that has salty roads due to snow wont have to get the cars rust proof... looks like it wont turn into mater from cars after all

After washing my car the day before... I woke up to find this  I immediately gave her a bath and told her sorry that she couldn't fit in the safe garage.

SportInjected 02-09-2013 05:21 PM

^ is that from acid rain?

I honestly don't know what the hell it's from... It was just dirt though. We had a storm that night and a lot or cars looked like this the next day. Came right off though

I've hated not being able to drive my car since october, cause its tucked away in the garage. But this thread lets me see what I am missing out on, and I'm OK with that! Besides, I've got the old truck that gets around in the sloppy canada winter just fine.
