Finally upgraded my 4s from 5.1.1 to 6.1 last night, have to try out the new maps thing to see if it's as bad as the initial reviews hinted at. Just in case, I installed the google map app too :D

I've been thinking about doing this. But what does it actually add to the iPhone? I can't see anywhere that says what it does. Can someone list the pros and cons out of this jailbreak?

Check google, theres alot of really good blog posts that show up covering this in great detail. Quick n generic, its free, its easy, the jailbreak itself does nothing to your device, what it does is gives u cydia, a non apple controlled app store (so much more than "apps") and allows you to literally change,tweak, add features and usability that i have been missing since the day the i5 came out, im now right back where i was w the i4S and sooo happy :)

Here's my custom lockscreen! It was my first time using photoshop in like 3 years and I think it came out nice. I will post a thread for the wallpaper after classes. If you like the slider, PM me and I will send you it and walk you through the install. Hope you guys like it!

I downloaded bitesms and it worked fine for me. The really popular tweaks are usually the only ones having problems

Checked back about an hour ago an all seems fine for me now.

Yea. I got almost nothing yesterday, but all day today i have downloaded everything i want with not a single error.

Depends what ur interested in. For general appearance changes, check out springtomize 2 and barrel. For themes u can try dreamboard. For functionality its all about what u want to do... Mywi, installuous, etc

How do i find a theme that lets me use there buttons but my own home screen?

Ya there are plenty of replacements but i dont know of any good iphone apps that will let you do it. If you get appsync than you just download from a computer, stick it in itunes, and add to the device.

If u speak english primarily, appcake. Installs in cydia, very similar to both installuous and appsync w out the hassle.

I got my SwipeSelection, OmniStat, and Activator, and now I'm set. Arguably 3 hugely important things in my iOS experience...

They allow you to download app store apps for free to try them before u buy them (or to steal them, but no one likes a pirate)

I meant to put appcake in my post, but appcake is originally a Japanese/Chinese (sorry cant tell the difference) app

I just sent the slider into modmyi but Im not sure if I did it correctly. Well find out in 2-3 days. Ill post the wallpapers a little later tonight.

I read about appcake but didn't come up in Cydia when I searched. Do you have to add a source like hackulo.us for installous?
