Best game for FRS/GT86/BRZ

Wich is the best ps3 game for driving and modificating your GT86/FRS/BRZ ?

3_NA_HAF 02-04-2013 01:28 AM

Its a blast to drive in Gran Turismo 5. Thats the only one I know of.

switchlanez 02-04-2013 01:35 AM

I think GT5 is the only PS3 game where you can be driving and modifying (btw "modificate" isn't a word) these cars.

Toyota GT 86 02-04-2013 01:51 AM

So GT5 nothing more?

AsphaltLover 02-04-2013 02:37 AM

it's an add on car for forza 4 and built in car in forza horizons. Both are awesome with lots of mods.

mrlewistan 02-04-2013 04:08 AM

If you are in the mood for something different: Sims 3

Forget the Piece of S#$! 3 - try a proper sim. Simraceway for the PC has a nicely modeled GT 86 with really top-notch physics (it uses the well-developed rFactor engine). Driven with a good wheel, its handling dynamics and force feedback accurately capture the feel of driving the car.

Another plus: it's really inexpensive - the car costs all of 49 cents, the tracks and a few other cars are free.

car needs more hp... first upgrade in gt5 lol

hunter3232792 02-04-2013 10:13 AM

anyone know any good games to drive the 86 for xbox?

naikaidriver 02-04-2013 10:23 AM

Forza 4 is by far the best console representation of the FRS. I have two that I compete with online on a regular basis. One is a handling tune and the other is a speed tune. I run then in A Class and both are ranked in the top one 1% globally.

I won't go in to why Forza is better than GT5 for two reasons. One, it would be a shame for this thread to degenerate into a Forza vs. GT thread, and two because those who have played Forza 4 already know anyway. ;-)

If you're not a real gear-head, then Forza Horizons is a good game. Since my anal-retentive attention to detail and need to tweek minute settings in the suspension, I wasn't a fan of Horizons. Besides, I can only hear a bad-acting, too forced voice talk smack while putting "Dog" at the end of every sentence for so long before my head starts to hurt.

It sure is fun to drive on Forza! Though, I realize you'll have to sell your ps3 and buy a 360 for that ;)

+1 for Forza Motorsport 4

Tt3Sheppard 02-04-2013 11:04 AM

Simraceway is a good one. Although I find it quite hard to drift the car like you can in real life lol.

DarkSunrise 02-04-2013 11:10 AM

The FR-S is a freely downloadable car on GT5. Fun to drive, but to be honest, I haven't played that game in months now. Even with a force-feedback wheel, it's much more fun driving the real deal.

blue cat 02-04-2013 10:11 PM

GT5 will be the most realistic game you will find for driving the FR-S on a ps3. You can only do minor cosmetic modifications in GT5 though, like a few body kits and wheels/suspension etc.

Even tho it was a add-on that I had to pay for I was very willing to do so. Wasn't much either you can go for just the FRS or the whole pack that its in. If your on the Xbox 360 you have to go Forza Motorsport 4!

zaptorque 02-06-2013 04:30 PM

Sell your PS3, get an xbox and forza 4

you're welcome

Meehow86 02-06-2013 05:28 PM

Forza 4 is the only game I own for XBOX, and its totally worth it. (I have two FR-S's in the game, one C Class and one modded up to A Class)

Actually, to make it more fun, first upgrade would be reduce the weight! Try driving the car with stock power but at a reduced weight. It is even more interesting in how the car turns.

Sell your PS3 AND your Xbox, get a PC and Simraceway

Holy thread revival, but any PC games available now that it's 2014

frslee 02-25-2014 09:07 AM

FR-S handles so nice in gran turismo 5! I've been winning the FR with short circuit.

Badasi12b 02-25-2014 11:04 AM

Yeah the Scion FR-S is readily available without DLC in Forza Horizon on the 360. I have been driving that in that game for over a year now...lol

5hairpins 02-25-2014 11:22 AM

Just so everyone knows, Sony's GT5 servers will be going offline so if you want any DLC get it now:

Since this thread is dead anyway, I'll point out that the BRZ is one of the first cars you can buy in Forza 5 on the Xbox One. Beast with mods and tuning for speed. Hit 277 on the straights, lol

Wilsonk227 02-25-2014 04:13 PM

yeah the BRZ is fun as hell in Forza 5. Until I got myself an R8 Quattro...now i wish i had money...

fitcious 02-26-2014 11:53 AM

GT6.

eddieEndo 03-11-2014 03:26 AM

Grid 2 for the PS3 has the BRZ.. I downloaded the game for free in the playstation store as a playstation plus subscriber. I don't game very often and if I see a interesting game in the free games section I will download it and when I get a chance check it out. I usually only play for a hour or less if the game is not worthy. That is until I downloaded Grid 2 and saw the BRZ in a loading screen, so I played for hours until I unlocked it. game is OK, nothing compared to the real world driving psyhics of GT5. Grid 2 wants you to drift around every corner to go faster, not grip or apex for speed.

Wise 03-11-2014 11:32 PM

Forza 5 has a USDM BRZ and a JDM GT86 in it. Both have multiple body kits available and turbo, supercharger and engine swaps possible.

My BRZ in Forza 5 has an 6cyl boxer twin turbo motor. It eats R8's for breakfast.

radroach 03-11-2014 11:36 PM

Forza 5 has a pretty good BRZ though the steering is dead without a racing wheel setup.
