AUTOMATION LIGHTING IS ONE OF THE FIRST TO BRING THIS TO YOU, 22w LED high power headlight bulb, made with a genuine Samsung LED chip. This is a true plug n play set up, no wiring, no ballast, no ignitor, that means no flickering, no warm up time, no bulkiness. Everything you see is what you need to get it installed. Color is ONLY available in 4300k OEM HID color, and these have an output of 1200LM/bulb. For comparison numbers, OEM halogen bulbs have an output of 600-800LM/bulb, and most HID kits have an output of about 1500LM/bulb. Available in H4/9003, H7, H11, and 9006 bulb sizes. 2013+ Scion FR-S would use H11 bulb size. If you have a Subaru BRZ, please check our other for sale thread on replacement OEM HID xenon bulbs. Here are some sample pictures of them installed in a 2013 Lexus CT200h F-Sport, 2010 Honda Odyssey, and 2000 Honda Civic. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8358/8...b808fd93_c.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8090/8...42bc80d9_c.jpg Installed on a 2000 Honda Civic, non-projector headlight housing. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8465/8...8e0ac287_c.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8234/8...f27c4556_c.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8051/8...1d58bccb_c.jpg Installed on a 2010 Honda Odyssey, non-projector headlight housing. Wow these are really bright for LEDs.. do you have any of these but in a different color other than 4300k? Like maybe 3000k?
|
What are the life expectancies of these bulbs? $120 including shipping?

Hows the cutoff with these things? Does it produce that bit of glare above the normal cutoff line like HIDs do?
|
You pretty much have me sold, though looking at the pictures, how are these installed? I know you say they're plug-n-play, but it looks like those are different than the H11 bulbs (they lack the plastic housing and "elbow" part). Do you have to disassemble a stock bulb and use it with that?
Or if you have some installation pics or a DIY somewhere, that'd be awesome. Do you still need to push down the little "squirrel finders" so there's no glare to oncoming traffic? |

Instead of having the 90* bend for the light socket to plug into, included is an adapter harness about 6 inches long, and that has the H11 plug that will mate with your vehicle. No ballast, no controllers, no extra components, it's as simple as it will get when it comes to upgrading lights. I've installed about 20 kits on local cars, and i've followed up with the owners, they have never experienced any flickering or issues with the lights, they can leave them on automatic mode, flick them on 20 times in a row, and they come in each and every time instantly, no warming up. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8358/8...b808fd93_c.jpg |
I'm just curious. Your rated lumen of these kits.
You state that HID kits are only 1500lm, when in fact HID kits are usually 3000Lm+. If your LED's are only 1500lm, there's not much difference from better premium halogen bulbs. Even standard Sylvania H11 55w, are rated at 1200 lumens +/-15%. I'm not trying to bash, but I do want to make sure you are advertising correct information to us. |

Here's how we came up with our numbers, back at the factory where these are produced, a halogen bulb, 22w LED headlight bulb, and 35w 5000K AC digital HID kit were placed and tested in a reflector housing headlight assembly. The same light meter was capturing the halogen bulb at approximately ~650 lumens, 22w LED headlight bulb at ~1200 lumens, and the 35w HID kit at ~1500 lumens. If Sylvania was measuring their H11 55w bulb at 1200 lumens and HID xenon at 3000 lumens, there is no doubt that their method of measuring differed from ours, and if we used their method, maybe our bulbs are rated even higher. Numbers are just numbers, and the results can vary due to different environments and light meters, but one thing is very clear, these are much brighter than factory halogen bulbs, but not quite as bright as 35w 5000K HID xenon bulbs. I am not trying to pass these off as the brightest and baddest bulbs on the market, it's simply an alternative to HID xenon and we're one of the first companies to introduce this technology to the public. Hope that clears things up. |
Possibility of group buy or ft86club discount code? These look very competitive against PnP HID kits that need ballasts and wiring mounted and tucked away. These LEDs look much cleaner of an install.

Ah crap. Bought them without the discount. Any chance of fixing my own impulsiveness?

I'm impressed, nice product !
|
I'll give these a shot! Expect an order soon!
|
So, could you tell me why I should get these over the HIDs? I'm trying to figure out what I want.
|
Was this question ever answered? "Do you still need to push down the little "squirrel finders" so there's no glare to oncoming traffic?" And how is the cut-off? Really like this tech just want to clarify a couple of questions.
Thanks |
I'll post up some feedback and compare it with my HID's when I get the set in.

I'll be doing another install on a 2013 Camry soon with factory projectors so i'll take a picture 25ft from the wall to show how the beam pattern is. |

-Super simple install, direct bulb replacement and a short wiring harness adapter to fit your vehicle's factory wiring harness. -12v system, no ballast or controllers, which means less parts to fail and no flickering/warm up that's usually associated with HID kits -Does not require a relay harness, only 22w compared to factory halogen bulbs which range from 55w-65w, less stress on your alternator and electrical components Cons: -Not as bright as HID kits, but at 1200lm per bulb, it's a great improvement (almost double) over the factory halogens, great for city driving -Only available in one color (not sure if this is really a con) 4300k OEM hid xenon color, sorry to those who want 3000k yellow or 8000k blue colors. |
bump! it sucks to say that i'm currently out of stock on the H11 and 9006 sizes, these turned out to be very popular. My next shipment is arriving next week, so you can continue to place an order, it'll be shipped out as soon as I can. thanks for the support guys

I ordered mine yesterday, the name David in 90712. Is my order on hold til next week?
|
Albert,
Another question if you would. How is the distance of light cast by the LED's compared to stock? If that makes sense? I've read the range of LED's is shorter? How do the high beams work? Thanks |
Can you please advise when H11 is back in stock...Thanks!

Light beam is similar of halogen bulbs, just more intensified. On the CT200h I installed, my friend noticed the beam was wider and reached farther out front so it's definetily an improvement. People have used SMD type LED's or even CREE LED's in fog light applications that while that remains true that they will never be as bright as headlights, these 22w LED bulbs do not fall under that catagory. I haven't tested them in the high beam/drl mode yet, because I haven't reecived any 9005 sizes, but I will get those soon |

just got my shipment in, i only got a couple H11 kits left! these are super hot item right now
|
Albert,
Just ordered a set of H11's. Thanks, Jacob |
I just got mine in today and did the quick install. The bulbs do light up immediately and throws a nice color. Once it gets dark I can see if the output is improved.
One thing I did notice was the exposed circuits and wiring where the connectors are. Will there be any ill effect with weather, rain, etc? Also, the chip that is connected on the harness doesn't seem to hold extremely tight, I'm just worried that, I don't think it will, vibrate off with time. I took the time to heatshrink the connectors from the bulb to the chip just to make sure it wont come off. UPDATE: So, took sometime to drive it at night and I have to say, i'm not impressed. The "throw" of the light is not as far as HID's and it is not as bright as HID's either. I think it is due to the diode only throwing light from one side making only half of the reflective housing in your headlight be used. For the money, I say HID's are a better buy and will probably last the life of your car anyway. ***Also, I do not like the OP ignoring my question ^^^ about the exposed circuits. |
|
So, still no answer to my question....
At this point I am pretty dissatisfied with your product, are you offering customers on this forum a return policy or exchange to actual HID's? |
