4-2-1 EL Headers + Motiv Overpipe + Motiv Testpipe + Invidia Q300

Not the best at video editing, but uploaded a few vids as of my headerback exhaust setup:

And yes, the Motiv parts fit RHD Toyota 86 fine, perfect fit. Excellent quality.

Thanks for the vids, and glad you love the product!

Any droning while driving around? Are you happy with the sound?

evil_1998 01-30-2013 10:16 PM

Zero drone. In car cabin noise is minimal, slightly louder than stock when cruising, got a nice rumble.

On WOT can hear exhaust throughout rev range. Fine for daily driving, won't deafen your ear drums.

Previously with just Q300 catback, intake sound was louder than exhaust. Exhaust was only slightly louder during WOT, sounded almost stock.

Soundwise definitely prefer it with the Overpipe & Testpipe installed.

Sounds good, I also decided to go Motiv. Gunna wait for their catback however.

Why's the idle so high?

It's cold start and is actually only idling around ~1.5K

What brand of headers are they?

Got them from local an 86/BRZ car club. I think they come from same factory as KLS & Empire.

Sounds great!! Any dyno sessions planned, so we can se what the HP/TQ gain is? :)

regal 03-03-2014 08:23 AM

Can you divulge the price of the 4-2-1's?

evil_1998 03-04-2014 05:56 AM

@icebär Haven't planned to do a dyno run yet, but will post if I do. But can feel difference in torque after flashing with header tune (pulls much harder in first 3 gears)

@regal Price was around ~AU$500

regal 03-04-2014 07:52 AM

Can you buy it without a cat? Also do you know anyone selling them? Those are well designed header for a great price.

Sorry to be a pest but these headers look like the may be game changers (just a hunch at this point.)

Anyone else see what I'm seeing? 4-2-1 in the design of the stock and HKS with flex pipe.

evil_1998 03-04-2014 09:00 AM

Yes I am quite sure comes in no-cat version.

@regal sent you a PM with more info

chickencornsoup 02-11-2015 04:38 AM

@evil_1998

May I ask did you install the header yourself? Any issues for your header so far?

Jive Turkey 02-11-2015 03:07 PM

so the front pipe is catless?

i'm going HKS header, Tomei OP, HKS dual resonated front pipe, have Perrin resonated 2.5 inch catback. will also add a header to my front pipe. i hope that is enough to keep it quiet.

zc06_kisstherain 02-11-2015 03:25 PM

from the vid and description, it looks like catless
