would you turbo or super charge your BRZ/FRS?
 

assuming you have bought the NA car, and in two years Subaru comes out with the turbo and Toyota has the Supercharger. Would you buy the turbo kit and install it or the super charger? and why?

If I had to choose, supercharger. I probably won't do either though.

If TRD created SC for the 86 that is factory warrantied, and at about $3k... ah hell I still probably wont bother.

Positive displacement supercharger or nothing for me. I have nothing against turbos or centris...I just prefer the power delivery (and sound) of a P.D. blower.

i like N/A just flash/exhaust/intake/port polish ect... make the car respond as smooth as posible and get the most out of it without turbo/super charger.. but i wouldn't mind a turbo..:D

People would be surprised what a port and polish would do... I was just talking to a friend of mine about that same thing.

yeah port and polish sure does magic :burnrubber: all motor with the right tune/pipes/intake ect... sure is nice to drive.. thats the JDM way:burnrubber: also turbo:D if the car is normally a turbo..

Supercharger all the way on this car. Although the Avo stg 1 kit does look nice.

its gonna cost about 10grand to install a turbo, i will once i save up.

i think people are kinda stuck in the past. turbo chargers have evolved a lot faster than superchargers. it seems they always turbos are just more effecient and the throttle response of a properly tuned system is negligible. well thats what i thought until i saw what rotrex is doing.

11,000rpm high rev NA engine...

id rather have two frs with a turbo and supercharger on each. both with more reliability,power and tq than the na car. well exaggerating a bit but n/a isnt cheaper alternative anymore. thats not even mentioning that the car with an 11k redline is going to be useless anywhere but a racetrack (and a fast one at that)

Your best bet is to do a google search for port and polish motor. Will give you the best knowledge on it.
