Just installed LED Daytime Running Lights ... PHOTOS!

9 Attachment(s)
OK so just installed the first set of these LED DRL. They are super bright. I installed them to the ignition wire so when the ignition is on the are on. When i release the parking break the DRL lights run with these... When I put on the headlights, the DRL LEDs switch to a dimmer setting... See photos:)

**DIY is posted***

Thanks for looking...
pm with questions, I sell them for 190

I saw these a few days ago, but I can't decide if I love or hate them.

sega_102 01-26-2013 01:55 PM

They look awesome. How long did the install take?

Otterbrawten 01-26-2013 02:34 PM

What extra wiring is needed? I just order these and I am a noob when it comes to wiring.

It is a bit tricky if you are a new to this. I wont go into detail about a whole DIY, someone will be writing that up shortly for me. I can tell you it takes about an hour, installing lights is easy , you dont even need to remove the bumper. The only major wiring is runing power from ignition wires and from headlights.

spgrizz22 01-26-2013 02:50 PM

Yeah I want to know what extra wiring I need!

Otterbrawten 01-26-2013 03:20 PM

These lights are super bright and built like factory quality. Company that makes them has high standards because they make a lot of aftermarket certified factory parts for Toyota.

they are LED so they only come in one color temp like those of other LED, Id say it would be most similar to 5k. It would look good i think with 4300- 6k though. I have 5k hid with tint and it matches fine.

RRnold 02-11-2013 07:52 PM

Clean install but it does look very BRZ-ish! Good job!

If I come to you would you do the install? and if so How much?

F-T 02-19-2013 02:55 PM

we charge $80 for forum customers...

Kochinopride 02-19-2013 03:04 PM

Starting to like this... can you do a sort of "L" shape of the light to go across then up?

The out edge having an L LED shape would work best for me because that grill area is going to become a hole for the oil line coolers...

i might be new here, but i'm better known elsewhere. i kinda have an addiction to led's..
http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/memb...235-soundman98

considering the aftermarket nature of those DRL modules, i'm confident that the color temp could be changed for those willing to go through the effort.

all i'd need to confirm that would be a clear picture of the led in the housings. typically that is enough to locate who makes it, and consequently, what can be done with it.

F-T 09-12-2013 03:08 PM

Si u need a closeup pic of the led?

Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 2

soundman98 09-13-2013 07:14 PM

yes, just a closeup of a single one of the led's.
