R1 Titan Amuse

Hi there, I already ordered the R1 Titan Exhaust for my 86. However, theres an optional Straight Pipe also by amuse, and that costs about $1400 here, plus the exhaust itself is already $3500.

Is it worth it to get the optional straight pipe?

from this thread

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10015

It was mentioned that , the exhaust + straight pipe = +20 HP
I wanna get both, but im still not too sure at the moment, the Pipe is quite expensive.

Edit: Updates !-! , the R1 Titan Amuse exhaust installed

and the whole car

All i know is i demand videos, your the first person ive seen to buy one so far.

evil_1998 01-25-2013 08:25 AM

If you a baller & can afford it, I don't see why not. But there are so many straight pipe options for a fraction of that price.

I personally can't really justify $1400 for a piece of pipe though.

BadLuckZN6 01-25-2013 08:27 AM

buy it! be a baller + I wanna see the full system on your car

MikeM5 01-25-2013 08:27 AM

If the video in your link shows the car with the catless down pipe, it sounds absolutely incredible...I would do it.

Congratulations on being one of the first to get it! I think that's one of the best (if not definitively) sounding exhausts out right now.

ginstreet 01-25-2013 08:43 AM

I just ordered it a few days ago, and they said its going to take about 6 weeks until it arrives. 4 weeks to make, 2 weeks for shipment.

Im pretty sure in the video, both pieces are on the 86. Thats why Im still having doubts whether to get the optional straight pipe or not.

Where I live (asia) , theres already someone else with the exhaust system, but he didnt have the optional pipe as well, and I never had the chance to hear the sound of the exhaust, people said its really good, and I was desperate. I cant find any videos on Youtube, thats why I wanted some advice.

armythug 01-25-2013 09:06 AM

You might as well go all out and get the straight pipe. Don't half step. Not sure if it will affect the sound though. But it will be another piece that will give you weight reduction if you care about that.

BrianJC 02-22-2013 03:03 AM

ginstreet, I really like the sound of the amuse exhaust too, but like you said, there are just so few videos on it, please, PLEASE posts review, and lots of pics and videos on it. Finish it with a dyno test and it would be absolutely perfect!

ginstreet 03-13-2013 10:42 PM

I got the exhaust already. Pics uploaded above. I did not get the Optional straight Pipe but im ordering that now. However, EVEN without the optional pipe, it sounds crazy (in an awesome way), sounds like a GTR, and what dissapoints me is that it lacks power (HP wise) while making that beautiful sound from the exhaust. I dont like when a car makes a loud noise but not accelerating fast enough.. but, Totally worth my $4000. Pretty sure this is the best exhaust for the 86 at the moment.

The optional Straight Pipe (Titan R1000 no.2) should reduce even more weight and gain more HP, not sure if it will affect the noise, hope not, cause its beastly enough as it is. :)

Clipdat 03-13-2013 10:44 PM

Maybe give the ECU a hundred miles or so to get used to the improved exhaust flow?

shu5892001 03-13-2013 10:51 PM

Video please?

punchdrunkjuice 03-13-2013 11:07 PM

DR 86 03-14-2013 12:19 AM

No catback exhaust is going to give you +20 whp, but who cares you're balling.

I hope its the best seeing that its over 4 times the amount of any cat back exhaust available lol ;)

merlin2111 03-14-2013 12:32 AM

Wow

Freeman 03-14-2013 12:35 AM

TyperRspec789 03-14-2013 12:44 AM

Wow.... Baller as fuck. This is coming from a guy who's got $13k in his car.

Bg8780 03-14-2013 08:36 AM

That's fucking beautiful!!! PLease please post some videos! I gotta hear this exhaust. I'm gonna stop eating so I can afford this.

etherealfall 03-14-2013 10:58 AM

Need vids :)

ginstreet 03-14-2013 11:53 AM

I normally dont post vids but a lot seems to asked for it. Understandable, since theres no single vid on Youtube.. :)I'll try to post a vid by this weekend, not sure if the sound from the vid will be as good like when your actually standing there. I learned that at times , exhaust sounds from videos is way different when you hear it irl. Lets hope it'll sound just as good.

Mr.Jay 03-14-2013 12:00 PM

Nice!!! Soo balla

Pleaseee post videos, drive away and in cabin if possible

RT87 03-14-2013 02:20 PM

Would you also be able to take another picture directly from the back of the car but a bit further back? I just want to see how well the exhaust fills up the TRD rear bumper openings, thanks!

DR 86 03-14-2013 05:48 PM

Just out of curiosity, do you own a sweat shop? Lol ;p

tomato86 03-14-2013 06:28 PM

STJ 03-14-2013 08:13 PM

Any pictures of the single exit version?

Dimman 03-14-2013 08:19 PM

Is what they call the straight pipe the same as we call the front pipe with cat?

BrianJC 03-29-2013 05:47 PM

I found a clip online that seems to be the exhaust. I have to say it sounds rather dull compare to the clip where drift king is revving the engine. Maybe the front pipe does make a huge difference in the sound? Can any of the guys who own the Amuse confirm or compare the sound IRL to the clip below?

I don't see the justification of buying this system... If it sounded like a Ferrari Italia or gave some damned good performance increase... I'd spring the cash for it.

It was designed to work with the exhaust. I dont see why it would effect the sound in any bad way when it was MADE to be used together...

fx35s 05-14-2014 11:42 PM

Any updates??
I would like to see the video that OP said will post soon... what happened?
Did he die? lol

Sookainian 05-15-2014 07:37 AM

Best exhaust ever, salute!

dem00n 05-15-2014 11:58 AM

It sounds like every other exhaust from Japan!

Just saying...

chulooz 05-15-2014 12:15 PM

People in here get so shocked that Ti costs $$$$. Probably one of the lightest set ups you can buy.

Sookainian 04-25-2015 10:03 PM

I did another sound clip for those who wanna hear the exhaust note :)

Enjoy !

Sounds exceptional! How is the tip alignment in the bumpers on the Amuse system? in terms of evenness compared to one another? I have seen pictures and it looks like at times one tip is higher than the other, small things like that slowly drive me insane my OCD kicks in lol. Seriously considering this exhaust however.

The tip alignment was abit off during the first week for mine. But was perfect after that.

You will need to loosen the bolts after driving it for awhile and readjust the 4 rubber mount to get it perfect :)
