Best spoiler?

Hi everyone,

To me the FRS seems naked without a spoiler. Does anyone know if the spoiler is an option when buying the car? I didn't see it online. If not is it possible to get the Subaru one? Thanks

it's not an option yet but you can buy many other one's from aftermarket or that weird looking OEM that's coming out for the frs

Bella becomes a Vampire in the final twilight book.

Kyubi 01-24-2013 04:45 AM

Wait wrong spoiler?

20valvewynn83 01-24-2013 04:49 AM

Yea it is an option as an add on. You would have to look at my post and find the one I made about the factory FRS spoiler. This spoiler was just released and I have yet to see it in person but my parts manager notified be and gave me part numbers.

I have the carsmo spoiler and I just love how it looks. Even though I love my spoiler I would have to say the best one I've seen is the Zeta performance spoiler. In person this spoiler is sexy! Check out their Facebook page and check it out.

Do you plan on tracking your car? If not, it doesn't matter what spoiler you get... It'll be all looks. Get one you think that looks cool to you.

That is an impossible question to answer. "Best" can refer to almost anything...best at what? Best looking? Completely subjective. Best at providing downforce? Best at smoothing airflow over the back of the car?

If you're looking for subtle looks, check out the Five Axis rear lip spoiler...looks nice, minimal design, easy install, and fairly cheap.

A little more aggressive would be the Abflug Spiral 86 design (not sure if this is out on the market yet)

Needs a voltex spoiler

MVJ1975 01-24-2013 09:02 AM

I went with the Five:AD one, it's still my favorite of the currently available ones.

Five:AD is still my favorite.

Fiber glass would be w better bet. But its a lot of work

iaclimber4 01-24-2013 10:42 AM

I really wanted a spoiler, but I have a whiteout, and to me the spoiler looks "taped" on...pretty much because it is. It looks cheap to me. I like the overall look and i think it works well on Raven and Asphalt where the lines are blended with the dark color of the car. I really like the Silk Blaze spoiler in the second picture of the forum link below...i haven't seen a side view though. I want something where the lines of the car and the spoiler blend and if not, then i'll bolt something on....

^ Agree completely. Too bad Toyota and Subaru didn't do with a similar spoiler to the one you linked to - much more appropriate.

where can i get the abflug one from?

Don't think you can yet. I believe it was just a concept (one-off) for the TAS this year. Check in 6 months

I can post a picture of the TRD-dealer available spoiler on my Whiteout tonight. I really like the JDM-TRD spoiler or Five-Axis, Carsmo, etc spoilers myself. But this stock one will be good too.

Or maybe use cardboard with plastic wrap and duct tape.

ExWhyZer0 01-24-2013 12:33 PM

I have the OEM FR-S spoiler. Looks really good in person.

I know I'm sorry, Bro Code 243: Don't give out twilight spoilers unless you are sure all surrounding Bro's have finished the book.

I will appeal for my Man card again in 3 months.

The spoiler I was referring to is not the TRD or the Five-Axis. This spoiler will be considered factor Toyota/scion.

FYI: If your in the market for a spoiler I highly recommend taking a look at Zeta Performance.

I still want to do a S202 carbon fiber spoiler on my BRZ but I will have to wait till I can get a spare trunk (I don't have it in me to drill a Premium WRB trunk).

Thanks for all the replies. The spoiler I am leaning towards after reading the posts are the five axis, OEM one or brz....depending on price. Also I pretty much settled on ultramarine for the FRS!

^ Agreed, but to the owners who already have the factory wing installed, it may be difficult to install this unless the holes lined up.

frsguy707 01-25-2013 02:26 AM

I went with the Five Axis 5:AD spoiler subtle yet sexy

Not even, that one sits up higher and doesn't hug the entire trunk lid. Similar with the two fins, but not the same at all.
