Argento FRS not common?
 

I don't see many Argento FRS's on the forum or on the street. Seems like not a very common color. If anyone would like to show their stock or modified FRS would make me feel better about buying it in Argento lol

Yeah... I was wondering myself, so few silver ones. Well, I am going to order mine in silver, though. At least it will be easier to find at a 86 gathering... ;)

I think it looks very stylish in silver, very restrained and understated. I was actually quite surprised how nice it looked in silver when I went to see the colors at the dealership. I would also go for the asphalt, but I found it often shows some blueish-violet tint or reflections which I did not like too much.

Is there a poll here on the popularity of the various colors?

Same here! I don't really like it in pictures that much. But when I went to the dealership it really caught my eye. I think it's harder to fix up when it comes to add ons in my opinion but imma try my best :)

It looks great clean and almost as good dirty. Mine is tinted, rebadged , with RPF/1's, and gets as much or more attention than my Cobra.

Oh I hate second guessing myself...put my downpayment on an Ultramarine that I will have to wait until May I'm told, while they can get an Argento in a couple of weeks. I really like the blue, but the silver does look very nice too. Aaargh...

i think the Dark blue is the rarest color. I have a Silver one too i dont regret it.

I also have an argento on rpf1s and I thought I was the only one, or at least i've yet to see any pics of another one. Are your wheels black? And if so what size are they? I might have a twin running around haha.

With rims that aren't too flashy they look really clean.

I am a guy that initially ordered a Satin White Pearl BRZ and then eventually got lucky getting an Argento FR-S for under MSRP (new grad incentive). To be honest, the color I wanted was the WhiteOut, but I truly feel I lucked out with the Argento. Whiteout is THE MOST COMMON color at FT86 meets I've been to. It's pretty ridiculous seeing 40-50% Whiteouts while I was the only silver.

Silver is a good color- easy to keep clean, shows off the lines of the car, looks different from sunrise to sundown, and it's relatively rare for the platform. You can look at my albums and my sig for some pics of mine.

If I had a choice dude it would have been. But I didn't so stuck with raven. Which I love with the carbon fiber though.

If my daily driver wasn't silver, I would have gotten the Argento. Toyota/Lexus always comes up with some amazing silver colors. I think my all time favorite is Millennium Silver from the IS/Altezza.

Don't regret it. Silver always looks excellent, and with an epic wax job it's simply amazing!

Argento gets a bit of hate for some reason. My friend worked at Toyota and kept telling me how ugly Argento looked. I saw it in person, and I totally would have chosen that colour if my last car wasn't silver too.

I really liked this color but our last 3 cars have been silver. It looks very sleek. It was a tie between raven and argento for me for #2. My number one pic was lava but none were available and I didn't want to wait. :burnrubber:

A side note: a monkey with a can of wax can make silver look amazing. Other colors are trickier to clean. Especially raven....

I originally wanted argento, was going to settle for ultramarine, ended up goin gfor a crystal black silica BRZ in the end. If you don't mind the wait, go with your first choice, if you're flexible go with the best deal. I've seen both ultramarine and argento since I got my BRZ and I realized I like it best in black even if it's a bitch to keep clean. It looks wider in argento imho.

If Scion had stuck with the Italian naming system, as in "Argento."
Asphalt would be "Grigio" or "Asfalto"
Blue would be "Blu Ultramare"
Red would be "Fuoco Rosso"
Black would be "Corvino"
Hot Lava - "Lava Incandescente"
White - "Bianco Fuori".

Based on these names, I might have gone with Lava Incandescente.

Mine's Argento. I didn't have a choice since I bought mine early on & used used (500 miles on it). I do like the color but I probably would have bought black if I had the choice. Mine's a daily driver which I park ouside and picks up a lot of road and atmospheric grime but still looks good. The stagnant freezing foggy atmospheric inversion we have had here the last few weeks has left a lot of black crud on it and it's starting to show.

I ordered mine in Argento because the FR-S at the 2012 NAIAS Detroit was that color, and it was the only FR-S that I had seen in person. Changed my mind to Asphalt at the last minute, but couldn't get one. Glad things worked out the way they did.

I made up my mind and ordered it that day.

Argento. I enjoy not washing it.

Here's mine, black tips, toyota badges, and light smoke tint. Another pic in sig (no smoked lights). I just thought the silver looked clean and refined imo.

If I buy one I intend to get the Argento. Silver is such a great color for any vehicle and so easy to maintain. The lack of silver as a color has also spoiled a possible Honda Accord sale...to give an idea of how much I like silver.
