Tom's N086V Concept Tail Lights - Let's get them stateside!
 

For those of you who haven't seen them yet, these are the new tail lights that debuted at the 2013 Tokyo Auto Salon.

These pictures were taken from the TAS coverage thread. All rights and credit go to their respective owners, which is not me.

I personally believe these are hands down the most attractive tail lights to come out for this platform. They have a very Audi-ish feel to them and I can't wait to get my hands on them. I emailed Tom's Japan yesterday and here is their response:

Dear Sir,
Thank you for your mail.
According to tail lights, TOM'S would like to start to selling this product
Before July 2013.
We have to check how to selling this product under regulations in Japan.
Please understand beforehand.

If you guys are like me and really want these tail lights, I recommend sending an email to overseas@tomsracing.co.jp and express your interest. Or visit their website.

I believe if we show a large enough market and high enough interest, they would go through the trouble of selling them in the states.

Just because it's TOM's, I wouldn't be surprised if they price it at just under $1,000 USD.

Also sent an email expressing interest.

If you could unseal the OEM ones without drama you could do most all of this if not more on your own. Hope they export those and they are not over $500

Might be a good idea to get one of the vendors on this forum to start a push to import them. I would think a vendor would have more sway than a few people emailing Tom's asking to get them.

Hey Guys,

We have already been in contact with TOM's Racing in regards to this product (as we also sell/distro Tom's Parts). These tail lights were a one off design for their Tokyo Auto Salon demo car. They have not made a concrete decision yet to put tail lights into production (as that will require purchasing OEM cores which can be expensive). Regardless... we will have more information on our marketplace aero thread relatively soon.

sick yes. but not worth 1/25th the worth of the entire car for taillights imo

lights are nice, but at least someone made a good lip spoiler in CF that is not a CSL style or whale tail.

I love them but I don't see me going past $500... for any taillight. That being said im sure these will cost an arm and a leg.

Considering they are reusing oem tails id imagine this will be a pretty penny.

Maybe a core exchange? They charge us the full amount and then we send them our OEM tails and they give us a rebate?

Taillights look great. The all-red may be helping more than anything.

This. $500-$700 maybe, but even that will take some convincing. Really hoping they will be remotely affordable, because they are the hottest tails I've seen for this car.

Unfortunately this is highly unlikely due to the high cost of shipping to and from Japan. It would most likely cost over $100 each way. Also with Grazio & Co Japan's price of over $950 for tinted tail lights... you can imagine the price of the OEM cores definitively comes into play. As soon as we discuss options and receive pricing from Tom's Japan (if they go into production) we will post an update.

While we wait to hear back from Tom's about going into production...we spoke directly withCrystal Eye Japan this evening. Their tail lights are now available for pre-order!
