So... ever since the meet for the LA auto show in November.. some of us members are wondering.. "Who is Hachi?"

Aside from being our wonderful Admin, ninja mod and the number 8 in Japanese--Hachi (Full name: Hachiroku) has been the man who's flown around the world with his (most likely 5DMKII) camera and with a possible friend (FT-MH?) to take photos of the FT-86 from it's buff baby form MK1 to it's final production FR-S/GT86 and paternal twin 216a--now known as the BRZ.

So back to the serious question. WHO IS HACHI?!?!

I made an assumption he was a Japanese cat because everyone loves cat that are Japanese. You can't hate a Japanese cat.

Yeah, I caught that one too. I don't recognize him at all though.

One of the plaque displays had a reflection of Hachi wearing smart dress shoes and a suit. I don't have a copy, will have to :search: for it.

Its in an old post with the MKII black concept in Geneva I think. I remember seeing his reflection. :O

If you still have it, you can pull the hdd out and connect it to your pc(or through a caddy make it a external hdd) and run http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk_Step_By_Step
Not for hachi's pics lol but to recover what you lost
I got my thesis back like this (also when I took up smoking again, 10000 words, fea analysis, solid models and testing data, I almost had a stroke lol) as well as all my other shit, and I have recoverd a few of my friends stuff too like this :)
Works awesome on crashed USB's as well, and if you can't recover the entire drive to boot again with a new mft or br, the you can copy directly through the program in to a file (in the same directory as the program, so run it from the desktop, and make a folder fr recovery in the folder)
Takes only a few minutes to find what you want and go from there ;)
Data is never lost unless you completely magnetise the hdd with a very strong magnet (pulsating one preferably). Even of the head dies, or the drive dies you can still save it by replacing those components (but that's pulling it apart)
Make sure the drive is cold as well when you start, it gives you a better shot at it (some ppl do it inside a refrigerator lol)
