sidnacious 01-09-2013 03:00 PM

Take your car out of the gayrage!! We need some full side profile pictures!!

Got3n 01-09-2013 03:01 PM

you're killing me man, i dont get mine till Friday!

RT87 01-09-2013 03:53 PM

Love these wheels. Plan on getting some myself in the future.

Tansey86 01-09-2013 04:35 PM

That looks phenomenal, let us know how the Michelins respond on this car. I can only imagine they totally changed the experience for the better.

Also, how much space is left back there with the 255's?

HATED1 01-09-2013 07:10 PM

looks really good!

Friday is just around the corner! You're gonna love them!

AhoAmeko 01-09-2013 08:36 PM

Are the wheels 5x100?
I saw that they don't make those sizes in 5x100.

digital_assassin 01-09-2013 09:02 PM

@AhoAmeko - They are 5X100. Only 7 sets were made for Advan USA is what I was told. I've spoken for 2ea of the 8.5" wheels and 3ea of the 9.5" wheels (3rd wheel is duel to installation damage). @Got3n is taking 4ea of the 8.5" wheels. So long as there have been no other wheels sold that should leave 11ea of the 9.5" available and 8ea of the 8.5" available. I picked up mine from @speedelement and I think there are a few other vendors that are Advan dealers that can get them.

brianlo622 01-09-2013 09:08 PM

looks great.

was thinking of picking these up but in 18x8.5 all around (maybe run spacers in the back)

tire size?

digital_assassin 01-09-2013 09:21 PM

@brianlo622 Listed in first post and spacers wouldn't be necessary.

Ricky Racer 01-09-2013 09:45 PM

Very nice wheels. They look sick on your FRS.

hamlet 01-09-2013 09:49 PM

Great looking wheels. Personally a bit tired of the "murdered out" black on black look and would have gone with a little more color, but these look great and functional too

AhoAmeko 01-10-2013 02:35 AM

I appreciate your response. I've been eyeing a set of Advans, I really like the RZs and the new TCIIIs.
So did that cost extra to get them in that custom bolt pattern?

digital_assassin 01-10-2013 02:51 AM

Cell phone pics deleted and proper pics added.

BRZranger 01-10-2013 03:08 AM

I like this wheel setup a lot more.

armythug 01-10-2013 04:36 AM

Very nice

nix 01-10-2013 04:51 AM

Nice!! 9.5+42 could be a nice square fitment too.

AusFt86 01-10-2013 06:17 AM

Just wondering if u have rear lower control arm?
Or is this wheels offset straight from just lowering?
Perfect sitting so flush with the guard
Best looking wheels combo

JackSmiley 01-10-2013 07:54 AM

How the clearance from ground to your lip? I was thinking of getting the same wheels in hyper black, also got the five axis kit on my frs. But i dont wanna eff up my lip coz im sitting too low.

No LCA's at the moment. I'm lowered on KW v3's by about 2" and that gave a natural camber of about -3* in the rear. I wanted less camber so I installed H&R Camber Bolts and dialed it back out to -2.1*. Camber Bolts installed in the front as well and that is set at -1.5*.

LOL, I'm missing some paint. The thing I dislike about the Five AD front lip is how far it sticks out in the front. In the middle of the car it seems like it extends the front of the car by 6"! This makes it a PITA for any driveway. But I get by and it's only some minor scrapage.

Got3n 01-10-2013 11:53 AM

I'm torn between 245/35/18 all around or 225/40/18 all around!!!

So you ordered a square setup right? 18x8.5 front and back.

personally i'd go 245/35/18 all around. the aspect ratio is closest to stock at that size

I concur. I would have put that on the front but I wanted to keep the profile look the same and a 245 would look perfectly "square" on the front when a 255 is ever so slightly stretched on a 9.5" rear. The only thing about wider tires in the front is you will be more prone to tracking but the combo is so light it shouldn't really matter.

brianlo622 01-10-2013 03:20 PM

This is a good thread. this staggered fitment/tire size is definitely proper.

Got3n: I am considering a square setup myself but I will most probably run some spacers in the back to take away that sunken look. Have you researched/decided on spacers for the rear? Also, digitial assassin, any opinions on this subject if you were to run a square setup?

digital_assassin 01-10-2013 03:29 PM

If I were running square I would likely go with the 18X8.5 et35 and wrap them in 245/35/18 rubber. I would not run spacers but instead dial the rear camber back out to -1* and run the front at -1.5*. This would give the same look front and rear and keep the car a little tail happy with grippier tires IMO.

jonbatz01 01-11-2013 05:07 AM

That looks bloody good....makes me want to trade my White for a Black

digital_assassin 01-11-2013 11:06 AM

Black cars are perpetually filthy. They look very good for about the first hour after a wash and then you start to see all the dust.

Oh Damn Andrew 01-11-2013 11:19 PM

That is beautiful! Perfect drop and fitment

Did you get them yet Justin? I got my replacement wheel on Friday along with my center caps. The center caps were spendy but really complete the wheel.

digital_assassin 01-14-2013 03:02 AM

Center caps installed. Sorry for cell phone pics.

Got3n 01-14-2013 08:40 AM

Nope mine come in today, along with lugs and tires. Replacement wheel? what happened? where did you get the caps?

digital_assassin 01-14-2013 12:25 PM

Tire shop damaged the wheel so they bought me a new one. Effed up the paint on the face with their tools. I got the caps from @Speed Element

Got3n 01-14-2013 12:26 PM

oh wow that sucks! I hope that shit dont happen to me :-/ , what size center caps are they?

digital_assassin 01-14-2013 02:54 PM

Flat Cap.

Got3n 01-14-2013 03:00 PM

i mean in Millimeters, i see some for 73 or 63 or even bigger.
