So, better tires make a huge impact. Everything else, not so much. I would have liked to seen the exhaust change without the weight saving. I suspect there was little or no gain there.

I really enjoy these programs.

Actually exhaust did make some nice gains in hp and in track time too. Overall stage 3 did have a very good improvement in track time i think.

Ah, Powerhouse Amuse!

whitejdm 01-09-2013 08:29 PM

I think this video shows that if you hit all three areas with some very basic modifications it's easy to see improvements.

I miss hot version :(

I will have to watch it again. I did not see a run with just the exhaust added. I thought they added the exhaust and stripped out much of the interior and stuff to save weight which resulted in the stage three improvement.

Stuff works well. I have it on my intake system as well.

It's interesting and somewhat disappointing to see that the stage 3 (coilovers+exhaust+weight reduction w/ bucket seats) reduced only 0.8 second from the laptime of the stock set-up when the tires are not changed. So much $ spent for such little improvements.

I always love the style of these cars, usually simple mods but sticky tires/suspension and brakes....i love when the motors are almost stock but only have parts that are stronger for reliability issues during long races.

Is it me or was Traction Control still on when he was on the track?

If so why did he do a drift test with it on?
