OH SHIT, TIME TO GO TO WAR.

Starscream15 01-02-2013 12:36 PM

When that day comes for me, I will choke a b*tch.

FRSFirestorm 01-02-2013 12:36 PM

Hard to tell. A dent?

ScionFamily 01-02-2013 12:36 PM

What happened man?

Pete 01-02-2013 12:51 PM

Stray firework?
@FRSFirestorm - nice pic man, made me double take!

jadewbj 01-02-2013 12:52 PM

That should be fixable via paintless dent repair. They can work wonders. I had a ding on mine from a stupid paint roller falling off a shelf and hitting my rear quarter. $80 and you would never know it was there. Mine was in the same area but above the crease.

smbrm 01-02-2013 12:56 PM

Yes PDR is a miracle!

Kimsey47 01-02-2013 12:56 PM

That's one heck of a ding... Would paintless be able to get that deep of a scar out?

kthxbai 01-02-2013 12:58 PM

Nooooo! Sorry to hear of the bad luck, @jadewbj is right paintless dent repair will do the trick!

whaap 01-02-2013 01:05 PM

I hope they injured their fist.

GTB/ZR-1 01-02-2013 01:19 PM

Bad luck!

You may want to consider changing the thread topic line--or you just may be paid a visit by some authorities these days...

Tt3Sheppard 01-02-2013 01:26 PM

I'm having a very hard time seeing the dent. Must be the angle

JACK 8URT0N 01-02-2013 01:31 PM

It happens. Calm down.

I know that feel bro. I have a big ass scuff on the lower end quarter of mine where someone backed up into it. I have been trying to get it buffed out for weeks.

I was walking out of the doors at a local store and even at a distance I could see it. Asphalt shows everything! A family passed by right when I saw it, a couple of children passing by me might have learned some new words that night.

V1B 01-02-2013 02:10 PM

Haha yeah it's dent . Called guy if we can get to it from taillight than it will be 50-65 bucks . Authorities may visit them lol i hope they injured their car firs lol
I believe it was kid cuz i remembered i saw them before :((( sucks tho may just overlay it with rocket bunny lol

That sucks... That is EXACTLY why I walk 2 mi to any store because I park as far freaking away as I can. This dumb ass lady in a minivan pulled up beside me and parked right after me... still in my car, I put it in drive and moved away from her... she was looking at me like I was crazy... NO WAY IN HELL I AM LETTING A MINIVAN PARK NEXT TO ME. Hope you get that fixed bro.

Y'all should just bubble wrap your car... Geez it's a car.. Shit happens.. I swear this is the worst forum in the world I've been apart of with regards to dents and scratches.. I mean I want my car to look as good as possible.. But I've seen people on here put a "screen protector" over the whole front end.. Geez.. They get scratched and dented and stuff.. Otherwise buy a beater and park this in your garage and it'll always look shiny new.. I was pissed when at 3 weeks old my car was backed into... I pushed the dent out best I could its still there... I don't care.. Lol

Unfortunately I do not. I was so upset about it I had the guy out and had it fixed in hours.

I can take an after pic later today. If I told you to look for it you would not be able to find it.

Common man we dont cry about it like sisi girls but it dont make me happy. The part what makes me mad is not dent that bothers me but it will be sorted out but what kills me is the ppl. Once i was parked and was sitting in car and lady parked next to me open door and boom shook my car. I was mad about the dent but more i was pissed cuz stupid ppl dont care for other ppl things. Thats the point :)

Gixxersixxerman 01-02-2013 04:14 PM

Maybe I'm missing it.. And I've reread the whole thread.. But I don't see a account on what happened.. Just a picture of a dent.. If indeed you was in the car and someone opened their door and hit your car.. Did you get out and trade insurance info.. I would've.. I would've got the name license plate and any info I could to have them fix it.. If I came out to my car and seen the dent.. I doubt I'd do anything.. There was a post about some guy chasing down someone because a rock came up and hit the windshield and cracked it.. To me that's over board.. And I've had to replace the windshield once and got a new crack in my new windshield.. Scratches from the car wash.. Guy put the window cleaner bottle on the roof and scratched it when he took it off.. I guess I can see the frustrations.. But I've always been one that shit happens.. Like I said I was pissed when the guy backed into my car.. But took about 2-3 mins of me walking away to cool down.. Then got even more pissed when he tried to blame it on me for "hot rodding" my new car around.. That took me awhile to get over lol

Yes. I have seen a similar kind of dent right on the crease of a roof line from hail that PDR made disappear.

One thing you have to watch for with low cars like the FRS is the downward gouge from the upper sharp rear edge of the rear door of a sportute or higher sedan. What can happen is the height of rear door can drop from the weight of the person entering causing that corner to dig into your fender or doors. People think they are only lightly touching your car until they get in and jam the door corner into the paint & metal!

I wanted to kill the dofus who made the first scratch in my raven, it was me, doh! Just last week washing car, hose brushed door, made a bunch of scratches, one is actually pretty good. I got most of the others out with hand application of polish and a bit of rubbing compound. The good one needs more. Still super visible, ah the joys of black!

I should post pics of my black GSXR... The tank is horrible... I have no idea how people with black cars keep them clean and scratch free..

Hardrock4445 01-02-2013 10:14 PM

That sir looks like a golfball dent

ahausheer 01-02-2013 10:38 PM

google = dent removal compressed air. See videos.

Looks like that dent is a prime candidate for this method. Its cheap and you can try yourself, got nothing to loose.

DONT DRILL MY BUMPER FOR MY STATE REQUIRED PLATE OH NOES

This forum does seem worse than others about this kind of thing but I think it is because every owner on here has a brand new car and other forums I've been to the cars have a large span of ages.

Right now my car is covered in salt and probabaly has some nice new slat rock chips in the front bumper but I'm not gonna lose sleep over it. And if someone hit it while shoveling I won't even cut their throat.

Well to each their own :)

Why are those two getting their panties in a bunch about an owner that cares about his car? When did that become a bad thing?

Let's say that instead of BRZ you would have a brand new Ferrari, right? And let's say your neighbour hits it with the shovel putting a nice dent into your brand new car. Regardless of how much is going to cost you/him to fix the dent, please dont tell me you wont care. You see, for some owners here, their brand new car is like a Ferrari to them, or like a baby/girlfriend/ etc. While you might not care about your car, maybe you care about other things, so i would like you to think about the thing you love the most, and than think about your reaction if someone would put a dent/scratch/bruise/cut/etc into it.
We as humans, have this tendency to attach to material things sometimes more than it is necessary. In the same way we attach to people/pets/etc ,with a different level of attachment. So it is normal for some to be upset mate. They care about their investment.

^I second this.

IDK who would chase someone down because their window got chipped by a rock while driving, because that is clearly accidental. But if someone damages your car or any belonging for that matter because they just dgaf, it is just rude and inconsiderate. These are probably the same people who drive like inconsiderate A-holes, because they think they can do as they please and no one can touch them. They will probably continue to be this way if no one does anything about it. Yes it is just a car, but some people like to have their nice things stay nice. It's cool that some people drive beaters or don't care about their own car, but it ultimately comes down to respecting others around you. It probably doesn't help that i live in a city full of idiot A-holes, and i have a slight anger problem (probably due to the fact that i grew up here). More power to you for not caring if someone damages your material items. My new years resolution is to be less angry
