Best Christmas present ever

So i was going outside to reflash the car since i just got a new file and this little girl was running around. I called her as before i went down the stairs and she ran out in front of the building, i got down there and called again and she came running. Me neighbor said somebody had just dumped her here. I think she is about 4 months old and seems to be in good health. She is the sweetest pup, i had been looking for a dog to adopt so this is perfect as long as they don't come back trying to get her. The holidays are always hard, i don't really have much family and moved away from my hometown back in April so this was a really cool thing to happen.

Cute story!

On a similar note, I just moved to Vegas a year and a half ago and most of my family is back East. It's going to be a lonely Christmas this year besides hanging out with buddies, so I decided I would adopt an English Bulldog myself! Should be starting the search here in the next week or so

Take care of her, and happy holidays!

JoeBoxer 12-24-2012 02:49 AM

I guess i need to thank @Visconti since he sent the file or i wouldn't have been going outside. Still haven't reflashed though, had to get her settled in first.

Asphalt~86 12-24-2012 03:29 AM

Yeah yeah just picked up a puppy today too! Congrats Joe!

DaJo 12-24-2012 03:49 AM

Congrats man! I'm sure you'll take great care of her! Happy Holidays!

Cute pup and glad to hear she has a good home! My dog is also the best christmas present ever for me. He's my best bud.

I have both, thinking about trying dynotronics too. There are several people that have use both and this is only the second file I've got from John I don't use his very much. Not what this thread is about though, no accidents in the house she is already housebroken.

You just made a friend for life. Best Christmas gift ever.

Beyer Subaru 12-24-2012 10:56 AM

Err Mah Gerd! She is so precious! I would be beside myself if I took in a baby pit. These are my all time fave dogs since I'm a little kid. Congrats and good luck!

Shagaliscious 12-24-2012 10:57 AM

Don't forget to make sure shes gets/had all her shots, and is in good health.

I wish I could have a dog, not allowed in my apartment complex.

gmookher 12-24-2012 11:12 AM

consider yourself blessed, awesome stuff, congrats

whaap 12-24-2012 11:16 AM

One lucky guy and one lucky dog. Congratulations to both.

JoeBoxer 12-24-2012 11:36 AM

Thanks everybody, you have no idea how much i needed this. I'm going to take her in wednesday just to make sure everything is ok. She is has been doing very good and you would think i raised her, it's really crazy.

Yes, and also make sure to pick up a book and learn more about the breed. You should start now socializing her with people/lots of other animals!
Not sure what breed of dog you have here, if it is a pitbull you have your hands full. But start training now and you'll be fine.

JoeBoxer 12-24-2012 06:31 PM

She is a pit mix, maybe either boxer or lab or both. Gonna be a big girl I'm gonna have to move when my lease is up because she will be too big for where I stay now. She is very well behaved though and housebroken. My family has always had smaller dogs but I'm good with training them I got my old roomates boxer housebroke in less than a week.

Congrats! I've been trying to talk the wife into letting me get a siberian husky, but she has been very hesitant as of late haha. We already have one dog, but he's just a small poodle terrier mix

CircuitJerk 12-24-2012 07:27 PM

Good for you Joe, and for the new pup.
Not sure if it was mentioned, but check to see if she's chipped.
Hopefully she's in good health.

The fiancé and I are picking up a Husky pup (11weeks old) at the beginning of Feb.

I'm looking forward to the challenge and suggest you get everything ready and look up the various forums for them as there is a lot of useful information on them before you dive in :)

Its a boxer! Careful though, they tear shit up when they're bored. I had one that used to headbutt holes into the fence.

Dtronic 12-25-2012 08:26 PM

Cool story!

I like dogs, kids not so much :D

Yeah there is a lot of boxer in her, she's going to be pretty good size i don't know how i'm going to transport her when she gets full grown. She rides pretty good in the car so far though.

Don't get too attached yet though. You should contact the local animal shelter or animal control and look for missing signs in the neighbourhood before long.

A dog is probably the only buddy you can comfortably fit in the back seat.

Good luck!

JoeBoxer 12-25-2012 10:02 PM

My neighbor said they saw her get dumped but it is possible they will want her back, i hope not but if so at least she helped me get through the holidays.
