Does anyone have Mach V muffler delete?

They sound really good in the videos they have.
Not much information on the forums tho :(

Call Dan and ask. Heard it in person, loud, nice tone. Probably drones in the cabin like all the other deletes though.

Not a loud "rice" sound?

Do you think it be to loud for a DD?

Thank you!!!

Probably about as loud as my WRX...which droned in the cabin and was annoying on the highway. It's all personal taste though; Dan said my Nameless sounded pretty much stock compared to his delete. The Mach V delete is loud trust me, but I don't think it was rice at all.

lol now I'm on the fence. haha yeah the worst thing would be if it sounded like a fart can!

Thank you!

Ive got one. I think it sounds great! You definitely get more of the boxer sound coming through. Is it loud? Yeah, a little. But I like it. The worst offender is 2000-2300 rpm it drones real bad. Definitely noticed an increase in power and the drop in weight in the back end. It wants to rotate a little easier now. I have since added the Motiv Concepts test pipe and overpipe and it is even louder but sounds even better. Neighbors be damned, I love it and its my DD.

Fuck the haters. I have a similar set up coming. Oh yeah, I'm 24 and collectively the age surrounding me is at least border line Jesus days.

djliquidsteele 12-26-2012 02:32 PM

I'm 35 and have pretty cool neighbors and a couple of them are car guys. I'm lucky. My wife even likes it because it vibrates more!

JesseE 12-26-2012 02:37 PM

I have a muffler delete (made myself not a brand name) Sounds great, no drone on highway, not to loud for my neighbors, you can't really hear much at idle, but driving around I like it.

Kido1986 12-26-2012 02:39 PM

Love my custom delete. 2k-2.5k RPM drones a bit while cruising but I don't cruise there alot. You do get heavy drone if you lift off throttle above 4k but if I do that, I'm usually out driving hard so it's acceptable. And at idle and low RPM, it sounds like a proper boxer.

Not any louder than what Harley riders do to their exhausts.

do you have any pics? I am trying to decide between Mach V or the Berk set up and i think the main difference is the tips.

Harleys are loud for no reason. "Loud pipes save lives" might be true...but those will make your ears bleed. :mad0260: A Harley rider won't get a ticket for that; you will (depending on your local sound ordinances).

I have one and it really is not that bad. It drones a tiny bit but its not annoying.

just installed mine a few days ago

the sound is awesome. When a valet was pulling my car up had a whole group of people when they heard it do the whole.."whoaaaa, that sounds sick!" thing and ive had M3 and M5 owners tell me how "badass" it sounds. There is a slight drone between 2-2.6k rpm but as stated before...its nothing ricey or objectionable. the piece is significantly lighter than stock exhaust, not to mention i got a 2.34 MPG increase!

Here is a short video of the sounds (although im sure youve looked this up on youtube)

it was 422 shipped (which took only took a few days) and that was with the new gasket which mine was pretty worn out. IMO its worth it. The welds are nicer than the berk set up from what ive seen...the tips are Cusco 4" tips and look amazing. Ive seen the berk set up too and thats why i bought the mach v. just more of what i wanted

sevi21 01-19-2013 10:47 AM

Where can you buy this from?

This is all three parts you need to connect, muffler delete + test pipe + over pipe?

i am trying to do a muffler delete and run a pipe up to the the over pipe. So if i order the muffler delete and a test pipe it will be do it?

djliquidsteele 09-18-2014 07:05 PM

You would actually need a mid pipe as well to have a full header back. I think it messes with the exhaust pulse going from 2.5" up front, down to 2" or whatever stock sizing is in the mid pipe and back to 2.5". I have looked at the works mid pipe to add to it but have yet to get it.
