Okay guys don't laugh too hard!

I was in the process of cleaning my interior windows, which had'nt been done in 3 months since new. In trying to get to the back seat, I pulled the drivers side seat forward. Well, I'm 5'6, and 140lbs, first time sitting in the back seat, getting claustaphobia. Well I cleaned the back windows, but I got stuck trying to get out of the back seat. I went in one way cleaning the windows, and couldn't get out. For 3 minutes, I actually was stuck. Very hard to turn around. I eventually got out. Phew, I definitely will not be back. I also got my hand stuck under the passenger seat trying to retreive my lipstick. There's virtually no clearance. I want to state again, I'm not a big person!
Has anyone else got stuck???:mad0260:

mashal 12-21-2012 02:52 PM

Lipstick? Your a girl?

JanLov 12-21-2012 02:53 PM

Absolutely!

FR-S Matt 12-21-2012 02:53 PM

I'm 6'6" and imagine me trying to get in the back seat... lol

JesseE 12-21-2012 02:59 PM

I don't even bother trying to get in the back... Might as well not have the seats with how uncomfortable even small people are back there

DominycFRS 12-21-2012 03:04 PM

I am 6'2" I am having difficulties as well :).

chutrain 12-21-2012 03:05 PM

That rear window is a bitch to clean. Only been back there once when I got the car. I will only be going back one more time to take the rear shelf out to help the tinter.

Firstly.....YOU'RE A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 had to do that since any time a girl starts a thread it gets tons of comments.

Secondly, I had the same thing happen and was stuck in the driveway for 3 days until someone heard me crying for help. Lucky I had bottled water and a carton of Twinkies in the trunk.

Hey everybody: SHE'S A GIRL!!!

LOL Had to do it again, sorry.

Anorax 12-21-2012 03:10 PM

Fold down seats, snake in from trunk. Wash window, snake out?

No I have no idea how feasible this is. I haven't tried yet.

jskurucz 12-21-2012 03:13 PM

Our cars have backseats? Wahhhhhhhhhhhh?

FR-S Matt 12-21-2012 03:15 PM

My backseat is my cell phone cable holder, and occasional grocery/store bagged items

powerj2 12-21-2012 03:18 PM

it holds my coat.

Since it's going to be asked by someone, and I'm sure at least every guy is thinking this, but, pics? The car, of course. :D

So that's what is back there. I thought it was a cave in which things would get lost in. :)

Celica00 12-21-2012 03:23 PM

and this is why i'm considering a rear seat delete. no one can fit back there anyways.

/Start thread jack

Mine was done without removing the shelf, one piece, even behind the tail light. Looks great.

/End of thread jack

My 7 year old son is the only person who really gets in the back of mine, probably the only one of us who could ride somewhat comfortably back there, lol.

Dezoris 12-21-2012 03:27 PM

Put on another 100lbs and next time you will get stuck permanently and not be able to post about it again!!

I never even tried to get back there it's like a cage.

Turbowned 12-21-2012 03:32 PM

I'm 6' 2" and I was able to sit back there, but I wouldn't say I "fit" by any means...

Everyone is a girl on the internet. So am I.

Razz 12-21-2012 03:37 PM

I hated it back there. Very uncomfortable at 5'6"

whaap 12-21-2012 03:45 PM

You should get in the back seat to clean the rear window when you're 5'10", 155 and 78 YEARS OLD. Now you can see why, every time I get a chance, I plead that this car should be a hatch back.
:burnrubber:

Shagaliscious 12-21-2012 03:48 PM

Wow, I figured someone smaller then me would have an easy time cleaning that window. Glad to hear it gives everyone trouble, lol.

dem00n 12-21-2012 03:53 PM

Pics or Unicorn.

5hairpins 12-21-2012 03:53 PM

I have crawled back there twice, once while purchasing the car and once to clean after a track day. Both times it took all my flexability to get in and out. While I did not get stuck, it took a full minute to get out each time.

Eurasianman 12-21-2012 03:56 PM

Back seats? What back seats? I found the car a lot more versatile with the so called back seats folded down

DaJo 12-21-2012 03:56 PM

Don't know if this will help...but did you go in and out from the passenger side?

The passenger side will slide automatically without having to lift the lever as long as its reclined in the forward position.

JanLov 12-21-2012 04:01 PM

No, I went in from the drivers side. Thanks for the advice!

JayNutter 12-21-2012 04:03 PM

Have you ever considered buying a midget and having them clean your car? There are some at the local pet store for about $200. Unfortunately, once you get them spaded/neutered, and get their shots it is around $500.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm 180 and 6 foot.

what I do is get in from the passenger side. I slide the front seat forward and sit in butt first, leaving my feet out. I kinda "fall in" if you will. once I get situated, I lean to the left and arch my back and clean with my right hand. it's awkward as fuck but that's the best way I've found to clean it.

also I've noticed that there's a "halo" of dirt around the 3rd brake light. might have to take that out, clean the window, then put it back in. such a PITA cleaning the back window.

n2oinferno 12-21-2012 04:30 PM

Get one of these. Makes it easier!

I've never been in the back seats and have no plans to go there.

dietz 12-21-2012 04:34 PM

Am I the only one who thinks the size of the back seats is perfect? People don't want to get back there, but they can. I actually think it is comfortable, I'm 5'11" and 195 lbs. I rode for an hour in the back (very weird feeling, but we were on a 6 hour drive with three people and wanted to let them experience the awesomeness). I sat half the time normally, the other half sideways. Either works.

Neziah 12-21-2012 04:38 PM

I cleaned mine once about a week after I got it. I won't do it again until I cant see through the slime.

Hey Whaap-

You are actually underweight according to an insurance height/weight chart. I'm sure you probably already know that.

I am 5'8" and probably 185 lbs at the moment.

Was about 170 most of my adult life which was ideal but after re-marrying and having another child the15 lbs just creeped up.

When I was an extremely avid runner over 10 years ago I dropped down to 155 but people thought I looked not my normal self.

Good for you staying slim, just make sure your muscles get enough use to maintain strength. I guess the stats say people close to ideal weight have less incidence of high risk illness.

People clean rear windows?

hmm interesting.

cdo221 12-21-2012 05:36 PM

I'm 5'8. Cleaned the rear windows from the inside once, not gonna do it again for a long time... way too cramped back there.
