I did some research on finding a staggered setup without having to break the bank. My preferred option would have been PF01 or RPF1 (18X8.5, 18X9.5) but at the time I could not find them in 5x100. I know tire rack now offers the PF01 in that setup, but it's too late now.

I'm pretty happy with how it came out, but if i could change anything it would be to have the fronts come out some more, maybe a +40 would've been more ideal. Also, the fronts came with different center caps than the rear, but that did not bother me too much.

The reason I did not want a square set-up was that from what I've seen with this car, is that if I went with a size that was perfect in the rear, would've been poking too much in the front...and vice versa.

I also considered the 57 extremes, but was nearly double the price of these wheels. So far, even after tracking the car, they have held up pretty well. No issues so far.

Set-up is:

18 X 8.5 +48
18 X 9.0 +35
Eibach Pro Kit

Looks good, gunmetallic goes really well with whiteout since they both have a little pearl in it.

Good choice!

Zoeb

Thanks Zoeb. Although I did not order from you (maybe I should have-long story), I heard great things about your support.

No worries, if you need anything in the future let us know

Looks Awesome! Personally I think that the slightly conservative front offset looks perfect. Did I miss the tire sizes? Thanks for posting.

Sheldon 12-17-2012 09:25 PM

Thanks, no I forgot to post them -- 225/40/18 Front, 255/35/18 rear. Went with the General GMax AS03.

JoeBoxer 12-17-2012 11:18 PM

Looks good but hard to tell it's lowered and i'm a conservative lowering guy i only got Tein H Techs.

Sac-BRZ 12-17-2012 11:56 PM

Looks good. Didn't realize those had that much concave in them.

Yeah I was a little disappointed with that. Probably should have went with the Sportlines like my gut told me. Most likely I'll go with a coilover kit next year.

tuwey 12-18-2012 06:52 PM

How much room is between the tire and strut in the front. I have the same rims, but i'm not buying tires till spring. I'm planing on mounting 245/35/18, and need to know if a small spacer (3-5mm) is needed.

I'm not sure if you could get away without using a small spacer. It is tight with the 225s. The pic below is with the car jacked up, so it may camber in towards the strut when lowered back down.

JoeBoxer 12-18-2012 09:55 PM

Yeah +48 on a 8.5 is really close to the strut, I had +44 on a 235/40 and it was really close.

I am getting the exact same set up, same tires except for 245/35/18's in the back. But will be dropped with Eibach Sportlines.

The front looks dangerously close to the struts and thinking about spacers up front. Which brand do you guys recommend for a good reliable spacers?

BRZPDX 01-27-2013 10:45 PM

Rota G-Force Hyper Black 18x9 18x8.5 SWP BRZ

18x9 +35 18x8.5 +48 (Spacers needed in the front, mine is 12mm)

wrapped in 225/40, 245/35 Hankook V12

Lowered on Eibach Sportline, 1.4 inch drop

Yea shitty phone camera, hopefully I'll get real pictures up soon..

My buddy had these wheels in a limited 18x10 set. They looked kick ass on his car. Good pic up and nice choice

BRZPDX 01-28-2013 12:03 AM

damn 18x10 all around!? I'd probably go more aggressive once I get coils this summer. Just needed those stock rims gone!

DarrenDriven 03-01-2013 12:53 AM

Merged another topic with the same wheels, same staggered specs.

Dipped Rota G-force, Blaze Blue Pearl Metallic

my first dip job, they were Rota G-force Hyper Black 18x8.5, 18x9. Just wanted to have fun with it for the summer.

I did 2 coats of matte white, 4 ~ 5 coats of Blaze Blue, 2 coats of Pearlizer.

I also dipped my side mirror covers as well. It turned out pretty good, need to touch up a few places though! What do you guys think? At night they glow a bit.

i just noticed ur at Darren's shop. cant wait to see the car on saturday!

DuMa 05-10-2013 09:34 AM

wheels are fun looking. i would have done the BRZ fender insert in the same color rather than the mirrors.

sorry i meant hub centric rings, and you can see them if there aren't center caps on the wheels like in his case

BRZPDX 05-10-2013 10:44 PM

I prefer no caps over Rota caps. Rota caps suck

I'm assuming you've seen the car in person? There's no way I could tell for sure there wasn't a centering ring in there by any of the pictures.

Its been a while, but I think I used x2 white, x4 blaze blue, x2 pearlizer.

Now its black and I used x4 matte black, x2 glossifier.

Looks sweet man. I think this style of wheel is one of the few that suits the car. What's the weight on these guys? I imagine much cheaper price tag than the RS.

It would be nice if we had a 5x100 RS-D maybe Rota will release a version for us

mongiamc10 03-13-2014 09:23 PM

@BRZPDX
cool thanks man. how did you tape everything off?
i have a set of gunmetallic and i want to dip them in a darker bronze color.
you think i should dip them i white first since the gunmetallic is dark to begin with?
